Was only going to be a matter of time.
The world is moving forward and everyone is an equal.
Will this pave the way for a woman to play in a men's team ultimately becoming a mixed team sport?

Would not suprise me, would be a intresting game to referee for sure. Not seen a mixed genre footie team since lads and lasses played against each other in the sports hall at school

Indeed. I imagine she'll have no control, and will likely leap upon the phallus of the nearest player. Or, perhaps it'll be one massive gangbang. Or, perhaps you're a thick ****.

Which one do we reckon folks?

(Wait til he is told that a woman ran the country and another headed the Armed Forces). Heck a woman even presented Blue Peter - but probably won’t sit right with him.

So presumably you’re not happy with the numerous male managers of ladies teams?

No problem at all with this appointment, very forward thinking, I've had some cracking female bosses (and a couple of duff ones) but my only concern is they have been competent and experienced in the field that they are managing, she has not.

I don't know how the dynamic of the changing room will handle the coaching and direction from someone who has absolutely no experience of male senior football either as a player or coach and therefore lacking the credibility to lead and inspire the team to be successful on the pitch.

There are few notable (read successful) male managers that haven't played professional men's football (Ron Atkinson is the only one I can immediately recall), I hope she does well but I think she will be up against it.

Footballers are inherently not very bright.
If (someone like me who is more qualified in a line of work) says run 57 laps whilst whistling “she’ll be coming round the mountain” - they do it. No questioning why. (Unlike some sports whi will either question or argue).

She’s qualified - they’ll learn from her. Whether she is any good there- who knows. Most managers aren’t great - maybe 4-5 in every division are deemed to an ok job. The fact she hasn’t got a penis is irrelevant to her role. She was Academy manager and it’s a caretaker role so why not?

Yep some dinosaurs will have a moan but they’d moan about anyone who basically wasn’t Pep or Poch.

It won't make a bit of difference. Do you think Paul Cook hangs around the changing rooms? His coaching staff will and he will go in pre and post games and half time obviously. He certainly doesn't shower with them or wash the players backs.

Having a woman coach makes no difference at all unless your train of thought hasn't moved with the times. What do you think of female referees?

We've had female physios (lot better than men apparently) and we have had other female members of staff, some have trouble dealing with that like one of our previous managers. He's now awaiting trial.

Why should she be wanting to look at footballer's knobs? I'm sure she couldn't care less and nor would they.

That’s an interesting one.

My first question would be why a female would need or chose to play in the men’s game?
There’s a thriving women’s game and for a female to move to the men’s game would surely devalue the women’s game?

And secondly, if females were allowed to join the men’s professional game, would female teams be able to sign men?

I personally cannot ever see women playing alongside men at football. It’s a contact sport and would most likely have to evolve to a completely contact-less game.

Can you imaging a bloke grabbing hold of a womans upper body from, say, a corner and the potential allegations that could arise? Or the opportunity presenting itself to male players that way inclined.

Management, coaching and ‘staff’ positions I think are completely acceptable but I’m not so sure about the playing side.

Thats pretty much it its like some female graduate who is suddenly running the show and i have seen this happen and fail badly. If this was a permanent move it would be questionable even if it was a bloke who has never managed or coached senior players
