Burnley weren't much better when he went there, but if Everton give him free reign to reorganise from the academy up,(same as Burnley did) then he should be able to turn things round.

But with the move to their fantastic new stadium in 2024 it really is a fantastic time to make a mark there and set your foundations down.

How can taking over when the transfer window is closing be a fantastic time? He's stuck with inferior players.

I'm not sure he will, but he will get them to be a force if he has to do a complete rebuild next season.

There is a lot of money invested in that squad and I doubt they would want to be spending more. My guess is they are banking on him working miracles with what he has. Burnley did ok by him with inferior players for a good few years. Maybe they just want him to steady the ship.

They’ve spent nearly £500m in the last few years apparently.
Spent £80m in the summer of which £40m was spent on Dwight McNeil, Neil Maupay and James garner!!

Not a name i recognised but apparently 3 titles and 11 trophies in 8 years at Peterborough Sports.
Never managed in the pro game i think but Peterborough sports have gone from 10th tier to 6th tier in less than a decade. Seems a bit of a gamble

He's a quality manager who gets the best out of every player. Huge opportunity for SD. As Merc says, new stadium, etc; he'll easily have them top 8 in his first full season.

Not a chance, I like Dyche and his teams are effective but he will need much longer than that to get them to anything better than mid table... unless of course you mean in Championship after relegation this season
