......I think that's a reasonable suggestion given their backgrounds - with a lot of them plucked from obscurity. 'Well done' is what I say. The manager has a secret formula that works. Looking at the Championship though, you are talking about a £8k to £10k cap and a total clear out being needed, unless you are just looking at a one season pay day to clear debt. Le Fondre.? Tommy Lee.?

Congratulations Mr New York. Your club did well and you got what you deserved.
I along with lots of other supporters of lots of other clubs can only look at what your club have achieved and only wish that one day we will be along side you in the championship.
It's just a shame that for all the hard work that your Chairman, directors, management team and playing staff have all put in that it's for scum like yourself. I mean really. Your club have just won promotion to the fifth most watched league in Europe and you need to go on another clubs message board to insult folk.
Pathetic little Wednesdayite wannabe!
Enjoy your time in the championship, who knows if you stay their for a few seasons you might just grow up whilst there.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Azul, Your'e a mod arn't you ? I seem to think you have spat the dummy out at some of my posts ?

Mardy ! (no swearing, so no banning please !)

You all said we would struggle through this season .... Errrr, how wrong were you all ?

You will be wrong again, because Tony Stewart, the board, and the sponsors will invest further
in our club to keep us in the championship.

Stop sulking ALL of you & just live with it.

We are CHAMPIONSHIP Rotherham United

:D

If I was a mod I'd ban you for what you are

It was guess work on some of your higher earners - to what extent they were paid I made no mention of. What the hell is your problem? You've just won promotion to the Championship and you're on our board debating your budget and how much your players are on. Truly tragic mate.

In one sense we could and should celebrate what Rotherham have achieved in the same way many did with Donny.

There are numerous parallels between our two similar sized clubs, infact seeing the likes of them, Scunny, Yeovil, Brentford, Peterborough and several other lower league sides make such a step up keeps the dream alive for all of us.

However far too many of their fans demonstrate a bombastic attitude, larging it up whilst ignoring decades spent languishing in poorly supported obscurity.

Then of course there's their obnoxious manager, someone who seems to pepper every interview with gratuitous sneers and arrogance.

I'm not gonna resort to the kind of 'straight back down' scorn demonstrated by Staglets towards ourselves, but if/when the Millers' bubble does burst it'll be to a cacophony of popular satisfaction.

No spire, you are totally wrong and you are rather "hoping" that it is 'because we can't find
a sponsor' Presumably because you might find such a situation amusing to the single brain celled
organisms of your clubs fan base.

The Fact is Tony Stewart went on record when the stadium was named and said that it would stay
as The New York Stadium.

Bump!
Guess again, just heard on RS its now called the Asseal stadium

That's their ground being refered to as the 'Ar5ehole Stadium' for the next few years then! Made my night a little bit better.

Errr ... you are wrong, its the AESSEAL New York Stadium
and it retains the New York name as I said it would, and always will.

At least the New York Stadium will always identify with the Millers.

You twist anything around to suit yourself, instead of sticking to facts.

When do you lot re-name yours from the Prozac to something more interesting ?

You are wrong Newbold,

It is a six figure sum EACH season, for five seasons.

Sorry to disappoint but here are the details :-

http://www.thestar.c...sseal-1-6966629

Quote "His company, who employ more than 1,650 people and increased sales to more than £146 million last year, are paying a significant six-figure sum for each of the next five seasons to have the Millers’ home renamed ‘The AESSEAL New York Stadium’.

You really ought to check that your facts are correct before posting.
