Three times today Cooper gave three balls away trying to play it upfield, very un-Cooper like, other than that he played well, but it didn't help when the pressure was on us and things not going to plan.

Cooper for me too, he was a little anxious first half to get ball long quickly but wasnt the only one guilty of that, defensively he was top notch and I too liked the way he brought the ball out from the ball, looked very composed in possesion. A word too for doyle who I thought played really well today

Don't understand the words "plenty of good crosses in the first half" - I only recall two and one of those was straight into the keepers hands - I certainly don't recall a cross from anyone finding a town player except the one that found O'Shea which he should have scored from and hit it first time.
However, he scored two good goal later in the game and I agree he should start ahead of Gardner who was very disappointing today.
I'd also consider resting Banks to the bench and bringing Togwell into battle for Tuesday.

I'm scratching my head at this one. We haven't delivered 'plenty of good crosses' as an entire team all season, and O'Shea delivered just the one - straight into the keepers hands.
He found space well for his goals, but 'great solo goal' - come on, he took a pass and scored. Not easy chances but not that difficult - if he'd missed he'd have taken some stick, and rightly.
He's certainly earned a start in front of Gardner, but against Fleetwood? If they get an early goal would you want O'Shea in there for the scrap?

Please stop this pathetic vendetta against O'Shea. You've done it against Richards and Hird and it doesnt help you in the credibility stakes.

To be fair, we were in a scrap today!!!

O'Shea didnt shirk from a number of 50:50 balls near the end. We have no one who can score the kind of goal he scored for the first. But there again Cook knows that, and has said the same a number of times in interview.

No vendetta. If you think I'm wrong you simply have to tell us all about those splendid crosses he put in, and describe his solo effort for the goal of the season contender. Bearing in mind nobody else saw anything of the sort, and the highlights will soon be on Player.
Now about hose 'credibility stakes'? Refer in your answer to the fact that Richards and Hird no longer get in the starting line-up.

It was a great goal...when you see the highlights (I saw on sky earlier)..quickly controlled under pressure by 3 defenders & then getting in a well controlled shot. That's a great goal in my opinion (not goal of the season though....his previous goal a few games ago, on the other hand.....that was a contender)

Both have played their part this season and no doubt have a further part to play. Its about a squad, not an 11, and its about 46 games ... but dont let that stop you sticking in the knife in players you dont like.

Today was a walk in the park compared to what we'll face if Fleetwood score first.
And I agree - O'Shea is one of our most talented players. The problem is that his talent is wasted too often by a lack of end product. At the moment I wouldn't bet either way on his contract - but I hope his two goals have given him a much-needed boost.
