How come it has been allowed to turn into such rubbish? Time for a few weeks out I think, it's absolutely garbage, we have a number of threads about a troll, one of the longest threads ever about MTFC and more bickering that you would get in a primary school.
It never used to be this bad and I can't understand why it's been allowed to happen..

What's your problem with MTFC Thread? I've not bothered with it but for some it is the biggest local derby/rival

Quite simply the moderators have not done their job title and moderated the board..it's that simple

OK = so let's explore which of the following should be moderated:-
a) repeat, or perceived, repeat postings;
b) postings that the majority disagree with;
c) anything perceived as being anti CFC;
d) posts containing bad language;
e) posts containing threats;
f) posts including insults and other childish stuff;
g) ... just exactly where would you draw the line?

The top 10 threads will generate the most interest Nokin. In case you have forgotten Chesterfield and Mansfield is the biggest and most underrated rivalry in English football. And I hope your "troll" comments were not directed at me personally.

Troll = anything posted with which the Bobs leg-ends disagree. I wouldn't worry about it as I don't.
Minus points = the same - a feeble attempt at censorship.
Mathematically what's the difference between a post someone agrees with an a post that the same poster disagrees with?
Is the formula - I don't agree with this post ergo it's a bad post = here have a minus?

As much as it pains me to say it, there are some really decent people on this board. I enjoy the debate and reading what people have to say.

I don't understand why you and others engage in argument with RPL
Have you ever attempted to hold a discussion with one of these American bible thumping evangelists?
His response to the Morsy/Ryan thread proves it to be impossible

I agree mate and I'm trying believe me I'm trying..but the moderators could moderate and make it a whole lot easier.
A few moderated threads here and there, a few weeks probations etc etc would sort it..and lets not go down this politically correct route of freedom of speech here..posters, mainly RPL , know entirely what they're doing..

No need for moderator action really
It has been said many times that if nobody replied to his threads they would soon disappear into oblivion
Trouble is loads of people like to respond for whatever reason.

I agree 100% mate, this board now it seems is a vessel for certain people to achieve what they crave, as much as I enjoy the debate and banter this board is at this moment in time not a good place to be.

I do not read everything- in fact there are some members and some threads I actively ignore.
What I react to is the report button which usually suggests a member has found a post or thread that upsets them. There have been three reports in the last fortnight... Not everyone has been deemed to exceed the bounds of this board.

Why have you locked the other thread?

To say we sit at the top of the league - there seems to be a distinct lack of cheer.

Totally agree, but I guess this is the price we pay for freedom of speech. Having said that, there is the old adage that says "never argue with a fool". And you might ask why? The answer is spot on: "because a fool knows that wisdom is folly". Sounds familiar?

If we were bottom of the league you can bet your bottom dollar there'd be a hell of a lot more football related threads.
Top of the league + on the cusp of a Wembley trip = silly season on this or any other messageboard.
I'm happy with it that way around.

The only places I've noticed a lack of cheer is on this forum and also from a few people who phone up radio phone-in's.

Stags returned to the FL after half a decades absence, an element of their fans proclaimed their club to be the new golden ticket holders.
The rivalry returns, they beat us, the boasting reaches new levels them Bang, their future appears cloudy.
To many Spireites who view the rivalry as second to none the subject is worth debate, if you don't feel the same then that's fair enough, just ignore the thread!!

As for the rest of the forum, it's been pretty gash on here for a good while. Jonesy throwing his toys out of the pram might be an improvement though.
