Just slightly disappointing that it took so long for the usual suspects to come to the defence of the club. BM was one of the acts we were trying to get (wouldn't have been my choice). We need to get someone lined up before it's too late.

Not all of us come under the 'usual suspects' - surely there are better acts to bid for?

Even you didn't want him anyway.

having googled the other 2, Wonder and Richie, both of them are rumoured to be working on new albums for next year and world tours as well.

Think I'll also be drawing the curtains.

Nothing for the Proact. Biggest disappointment of the weekend. Do you really trust the club to deliver anything?
Don't worry you say, there's the Bon Jovi tribute and Cheryl/Kylie to look forward to.

What's puzzling me John is, what were you looking at his tour dates in the first place for?

I personally hope he doesn't come, but the fact that the concert has been announced means nothing. Plenty of gaps in the schedule when a concert at the Proact could be fitted in, and not many concerts anywhere near Chesterfield. Lots of acts add concerts to their schedule after the initial announcement. When Elton John was announced none of the other concerts he ended up doing had been announced.

They were all in my Sunday paper. Having been told he was a possible I just thought I would be a bit mischievous at the end of a weekend which hadn't gone too well. The Elton John gig was arguably the biggest thing to have ever happened in Chesterfield and I hope we can continue to have similar concerts at the ground. I will certainly go again myself if the act is my cup of tea and the income will help pay our massive wage bill and the interest on DA's loan.
Hopefully we won't suffer the same disappointment as we did on the field after the Championship season due to the lack of attention.

I used to be in a band called 'Cat Missing'

You may have seen our posters.

I'm in a band called Prevention. We're better than The Cure.

Thank god for that. Couldn't imagine anything duller than a Barry Manilow concert.

Could have been magic! Maybe they will get one somewhere down the road

Top gig was Elton's, I really had a fantastic evening, but Barry Manilow?
Only having a bit of fun and no I wouldn't be going if we land Barry before anyone asks
