So To Tuesday Night ... Is It Going To Be A Case Of .... ... the Erwin Rommel's?

It's them and they've just beat us, we're taking as many tickets as they can sell us, and above all of that we've got yesterday to put right.

The league will always be a priority, but Tuesday matters to me and I want to leave Mansfield on Tuesday night with us in the draw for the next round, I can't bare losing to them again, especially.
Likewise. It's now become a big game on Tuesday, where we should have been looking for a pleasant run out for some of our fringe players. But losing gets to be a habit, and we need to put in a performance to get back on track - and who doesn't want another trip to Wembley, which, on our normal form, was looking a good evens bet?

F - I'll answer anything that doesn't contain silly personal abuse. There is a consistent theme through both the wins and the recent losses. The other teams have had some good chances and just not taken them. Hird and Cooper as a rock solid CB pairing. Flawed CM and iffy system - 1 up top. 2 teams have now shown how to expose us. If we don't adapt then Mansfield will inflict defeat number 3. What do you expect?

you now contradict yourself in the one post
Hird and Cooper have been rock solid
Yet other teams have had chances and not taken them
Surely if the centre half pairing are as rock solid as you suggest then the opposition wouldn't get many chances
You really are a joke!

Well thank you. Indeed our CB pairing have done well but STILL the record flatters us - simple as really. You should take more water with it

and now you cannot understand simple English
don't know why you bother, clearly you know nothing about the game and football gives you no enjoyment
maybe try another sport, but make sure it's summat simple so you can understand it

... yes I struggle to understand folk that rejoice in getting it so wrong. And simple ... well kettle, pot, frying pan ... etc
Just out of interest how will we do at Field Mill?

Just to clarify: are you attributing this quote to Rommel?
Wellington said it about the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.

You are indeed correct. This line was used by Rommell and his tank crews in WWII

Was CFC 0 Mansfield T 1 a fluke - were we really so unlucky?
Yes
If CFC tries the same tactics do you expect a better result?
Yes
Or in the same old way if we've tried and fail once will 9.45pm on Tues herald a third consecutive defeat?
No
This thread assumes any notion of playing a second string team will now have been well and truly dropped.
Against the rules of the JPT anyway
During the course of a season squads/teams learn and adapt. I expect CFC has arrived at its first watershed - we need to move to Plan B, C ... etc.
Tried plan B&C on Saturday and both failed

Usually that would be a valid argument, but after the last 2 games we absolutely cannot afford to lose to them again. The damage to squad morale could be huge, not to mention the effect on the fans, likewise if we win its the perfect tonic for our game at Fleetwood so the JPT just became very important.

I'll answer you, going into the Mansfield home game I was very apprehensive, it was a derby and they were going as equally as well as us. Morecambe seem to always do well against us so while the performance was catastrophical the result was no shock.
So moving on, because of form and our injury/suspension problems I seriously think we'll do well to get anything from the next 3 games. Mansfield, Fleetwood and Burton, I hope I'm wrong. No doubt though that PC will sort them out and get promotion.
