Three nil up, everything we could've hoped for after last week, yet the most devastating forty five minutes witnessed in many years.
I can take losing to a side who've nothing to offer but ultra-negative, cynical tactics after totally dominating a game...but this? I'll not lie; the legs have been kicked from under me.
However let's not press any panic buttons.
If Cook got it wrong changing formation then admit it and don't do it again. If players became complacent then admit and don't do it again. If mistakes were made admit them and don't do them again.
At which point we realise we're still top of the league and get back to what's served us so well 'til this point.
In a perverse sense facing fellow promotion favourites Fleetwood could be the best antidote to today's debacle.
Let's win it and move on from there.

Good post, let us hope fellow posters see a little sense, take a look at the league table then block out the last weeks shenanigans. I am going to try and do it with the help of alcohol.

Good post, though can I ask what formation switch did Cook do as I missed it and spent the rest of the game trying to work out what had happened, simply because the wife decided to come back from town early and tried to tell me how her day had been... women

So if someone could please fill me in on the missing details that would be great.. I'll save them for later and fill the wife in when she's watching X factor

I don't know who any town fan can enjoy today, even if it proves them right in what they have been saying.

You have a red for this balanced post?
Must be from someone struggling with balance as a concept

I agree with you fully. Yes the second half appears disgusting but there is those out there, and yes they claim to be fans who for some perverse reason love results like this! Does my head in as well mate

How can you say that its the fans that enjoyed today.... just because people are gutted and drunk off after getting beat from a winning position, you think they are happy about it.. I think you have issues mental issues or your really a scab just here to urine everyone off.

The league table doesn't lie; however, as I said a couple of weeks ago, we've not play against anyone with any real credibility....then the tough patch came and so far it's won one, lost two; and, although some folk say we 'dominated' against Oxford, I thought they missed their chances and it could quite easily have been a defeat.

Unfortunately they came out and scored almost straight away in the second half, and really the only outcome after that was likely to be a bad one for us.
Hopefully we'll be stronger after this experience and move forward still as one of the likely candidates for an automatic promotion out of this league. That's what we are. We're not Barcelona or Bayern and we need to stop believing all the hype we've been hearing about our performances. The other teams know we can be beaten, so it's how we react to the knowledge that success doesn't look quite as certain as it appeared and everyone was telling us, just over a week ago.

I have my view and for that reason I'll keep it private but you must know, hand on heart , even given our great, yes that's what it is, start to the season some posters just wait for results like this. If you disagree then you're kidding yourself!
