Mark, If Cresswell had joined on 2k a week and 500 appearance money, but we paid £180k in fees as fleetwood did, overall its not far off the same in total. Whats the difference?

I've no problem with Evo or any if his family.

I agree, it seems his Missus wanted to move back to town, had this not been the case then you'd think Fleetwood would have been approached. I do have concerns though he might not be the same player after such an injury, think Jamie Lowry and to a lesser extent Aaron Downes.

Maybe he enjoyed his time here so we were the only club at this level he would want to play for?

To be fair though, it's not really the same club that he left all those years ago. New ground, ownership, back room staff, management, board and expectation levels!!!

The desire to move back home seems the most likely.

Having spent the summer re-structuring the club's wage policy, I would be very surprised if PC would then undermine all that good work offering one player that kind of money. It wouldn't do much for dressing room morale
