Medical in the morning I hear.

I've heard tonight (from someone supposedly in the know) that Evatt will sign first thing tomorrow morning. If this turns out to be tosh - don't blame me! Oh and before anyone asks - it wasn't a drunken pub rumour either!

He left the club for better things when the club was on its knees. He was entitled to a wedge of money 50k ish and he let the club have it to help it survive. That was off the field on field he just used to put his body where it hurt

Everything Evo did at CFC deserves respect. IMO as big a CB hero to CFC as Blathers.......and any man capable of filling his boots.................

If Evo comes back, we need the first few mins of the first game at Bury to be "EVO" "EVO" "EVO"
A new hope.

Would be awesome to see Evatt return to us, especially after Kev Davies forgot he wanted to finish his career with us. Evatt is also younger than when Breckin returned to us, only 31, so for a centre back he'll just be reaching his prime!

I'd be delighted to have him back. He's just the shot of experience and leadership that the team needs and Cooper couldnt ask for a better partner to keep learning the trade from.

Evatt Cooper - isn't she married to Ed Balls?. She's well over 6 foot.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

In Paul Cooks pre Wednesday interview on Player he says "We missed out on a well documented signing but were still looking for a CB and we might surprise a few people" could be Evatt.

his stories tend to be reactive rather than proactive. Most of the stuff he picks up from the same place we do, in this case from the Sky Sports report that he's training with Blackburn.

Blackburn Rovers are reportedly interested in signing Blackpool defender Ian Evatt.

The 31-year-old, who missed nine months of last season due to a knee injury, has been working on his fitness at St George's Park.

Evatt is currently training with Blackburn with the aim of earning a permanent deal, according to Sky Sports News.

The former Derby County man, who has made over 200 appearances for Blackpool, is reported to be attracting interest from several Championship clubs.

However I want to believe its true that he's coming to us

Blackpool Gazette reported he was going to Blackburn for pre season back on 31st May. Preston rumours swiftly followed. He hasn't signed anything with either of them two and its now July 27th.

Could sky just have picked up on the Blackburn story late? Seems like a funny time with the season so close to be joining anyone for training at this stage. When your unemployed you need a contract and an income sharpish

Well say we offered close to 180k for creswell, that works out at just short of 3.5k a week. Would that be enough to get Evatt to come back?

as day follows night - not necessarily any truth in it, it's just a logical step for a released player, a very local team at a lower level, like released town players being linked with alfreton or mansfield

start praying this would be a massive signing equal to any business CFC ever did

This isn't an "I saw Bebeto in Tesco" story, I went down to the club yesterday and Evatt was stood outside the players entrance in a white t-shirt and jeans talking to Jamie Hewitt.

100% fact. He may be just here for treatment or something (clubs do help out ex-players without clubs sometimes) but some of the people on here in the know seem to think it was more than that.

What a signing if it comes off.

just to enhance this would we offer treatment to a player who was training in Blackburn it all adds fuel to the fire I really am starting to believe this is true and I am 100% pessimistic
