Can see Danny and possibly Trotters ending up there in the very near future now.

they seriously call Paul Cook 'the snake?' How sad is that, how can they blame him for leaving a backward club like them to join us?

Odd move in a way from his point of view given he's under contract there as manager.

 Beattie to replace Richardson in a player/manager role perhaps?

Paul Cook respects his old team. Accrington are a small and friendly club which it's always a pleasure to visit (apart from the way we play there).
Some of their fans were upset at Cook's leaving, as ours would be. That's no reason to disrespect the club or refer to it as backward. They're a small club struggling on minimal support - they deserve to be treated in a friendly fashion.

I wonder if Paul Cook knows or cares that a small group of people somewhere all almost affectionately refer to him as "Snake".

They're not backward; they're small and what they've achieved on crowds of sub-2000 is commendable. However, they shouldn't expect players and staff to be staunchly loyal when they can't really compete financially with us in terms of wages and structure. Do they think Beattie is going to stay there forever? No, as soon as he makes a name for himself for his coaching/management he will be off to a bigger club.

It's not affectionate though is it? They really are a bitter bunch with massive chips on their shoulder (the only thing big about their club to be honest). Sod em.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Anyone who takes the time to create a song that starts with the words "We don't care...." need to look up irony in the dictionary -_-

Interesting read, particularly this part:

"My favourite bit about Leam is that he is a very good talker during his after match interviews. He doesn't moan about referees, pitches, opposition tactics like our godly former manager. He doesn't spout a bunch of cliches, that he thinks the fans and media wants to hear, just like another more recent former manager. "

Sems their fans were impressed, generally, and any man who doesn't just resort to blaming refs for a loss is a good'un for me. I suppose the 'godly former manager' will be John Coleman- can I bet on him being next Accy boss? No idea who the other more recent manager might be......
These go to eleven.

Report states is was a 2 year contract so we could be paying compensation?

Rumour was that in certain contracts there was a "Get Out" Clause included, along with related performance bonuses due to the lower wages offered
