The thing is these days with Facebook, twitter and this board it only takes one person to mention it on one of them, it spreads through the same platforms plus word of mouth and then it sounds like a strong rumour when lots start saying they've heard it as well when in reality its all just come from one throwaway comment and spread very easily and quickly.

There is also the chance that it was a one in three guess to say which shirt it would be before the time!!

Its certainly interesting as it is documented on here. That 2013 post contains a denial it was a false comp.

Im not a firm believer in the 'no smoke without fire' saying. Seems to be a few accounts from then of people saying it was bogus...back then wed have no reason to think the club would do that
