Ricky Gervais doesn't strike me as particularly left wing.

Personal with Holmes?
He?s not a Town fan - he?s annoying in the fact that another teams fan is on the board and bringing the Ave IQ down by 13 points.

Drop the patronising tone, it grates a little.

One of my my foster children comes here every week for her tea and we have a few hours together in my music room. She always picks the music, however last night she asked me which was the best concert I have been to. A difficult question as I been to so many but an easy one to answer. Kate Bush was one but the one that stood out for me was Pink Floyd The Pulse concert Earls Court 1994. She has never listened to them before, she laughed when I told her it contains the best guitar solo I have heard live. So plugged my screen into my system turned the lights off and we watched the whole concert. When Comfortably Numb started she was in awe after Gilmours guitar solo. If you haven't heard this I suggest you do and if you have heard a better solo please let me know. She stayed over and we played my original 1972 edition of DSOTM and was amazed that this music sounds so fresh and it's 52 years old. Another PF convert was born

Paul Heaton is a strange one for me.

Much preferred the first album hull 4 London bill of the housemartins but appreciated the diverse style more of the B.S.
A new hope.

Obviously my foster girl shamefully has ever listened to 1D. I don't know what's wrong with her she even thinks Ed Sheran is crap. Thankgoodness. Seriously she doesn't like the music of today. She's a rocker deep at heart, pity she won't be able to see the great bands that I have. So we'll have to listen to them together. My system is hers when I leave this world so my will says

Richard Hawley is playing at the Barrow Hill Roundhouse 21st December.
The greatest miscarriage of justice since my case against the producers of the Never Ending Story
