What a photo, that'd frighten any lower division defender!

I remember seeing Fletcher in our end at Wembley when we won the JPT. I don't think there has been a Chesterfield player that has left such a good memory of from only playing 1 full season with us

I know he didn't really play for us, but Jack Compton who had a trial with us last season has signed with Hartlepool

I spent about 10 minutes talking to him outside the ground, an absolute gent who was more than happy to talk Sheridan, Rico and whatever else I was alcohol-induced mumbling to him about!

His story of the last ever game at Saltergate, and his parents feelings that day are very heart warming!

I was just saying he was here for 11 months and I think he left a very positive impression with the club

There have been plenty, Fletch and Holden are given but we could include Craig Davies & Deane Smalley from the last promotion season for example.

Craig Davies perhaps but not Smalley. Money-grabbing two hat. Dirty *** as well after what he did to Nathan Smith at Oxford away

I thought the issue with Smalley was that his medical insurance costs were too high because of a dodgy back, or was that not the case

Tried to keep him but eventually realised we were being used as a bargaining tool, told this by someone involved with the signing, all he wanted was to raise his pay packet..nothing wrong with that if the goalposts don't keep moving

we were only ever rumoured to have offered him a one year deal, Oxford offered him two years, thats hardly money-grabbing is it??

I'd have done exactly the same in his position, as would 90% of normal people, I'm sure!!

I'm rumoured to have nine toes but my brother is rumoured to have eleven. Do you believe that?

I hope your refering to moving to Oxford for more money and not dragging our left back off the pitch, who was clearly in great pain with a broken bone oin his foot.

He lost my respect on that day.
