Seems to be a mixed response from their fans to them potentially signing him. Some say he is a good signing and unsure why we released him whilst others were not that impressed by his loan spell there and dont want him.

Wise Move By CFC....
Bad Luck For Jamie......
Crewe Medicals OTT.......
Paid per Games (As Per Anderton at Spurs)..... ??
Who knows except Crewe and Jamie.
Good Luck to him.
He's never been the same since his injury. We treated him very well by giving him an extra year when it was clear he wouldn't reclaim his previous form and it was the right decision to release him. Real pity as he was a good player and could have had an excellent career - let's hope that they can fix his knee this time!

Indeed. Maybe management took the awkward decision not to play him because they feared that there was a significant risk that he would aggravate his injury, thus relieving them of the dilemna of whether to offer him yet another contract. There had to be some reason why he wasn't in the squad even when we were at rock bottom.
