Both laughable cases really. Hall must believe he's no better than that level and why would York want to even attempt to compete with the contract Harsley was on here? Would any league manager want to touch Harsley?

In fairness, I only saw Harsley play once (for Port Vale).

He was up against a very good team and the Valiants lost 2-0, but he struggled all game long.

Maybe he can do a job, further down the pyramid..

you are replying to a posting over two years old. Harsley has since retired (last club was North Ferriby United) and is now working as a co-ordinator for Scunthorpe United's Centre of Excellence

Good luck to him, although I have to say I'm a tiny bit surprised - he seemed to me to have a bit of a mare in the play-off final.

I thought so too, didn't look half the player he was here, but I suppose standards must be a lot lower in non league. I don't know who picked the team, but he has always been a massive fans' favourite, plays with his heart on his sleeve and never gives anything less than 100% - do that and you get forgiven for the odd mistake or two

last years trialist Pilkington moves from York to Kiddie

http://www.yorkpress...ster_Harriers/?

The paper's referring to him as him having "played for Stockport and Chesterfield before joining York" is, whilst strictly accurate, pushing it a bit!

I really can't for the life of me understand why we haven't made an effort to sign him.
Really decent player in my opinion.

Southend be able to pay more wages than us Mr Hurst, i doubt it. Sounds a big headed ego like his son.

There's a massive difference between affordability & a player's worth.
