Am I right in thinking he made his debut away at Stoke City or did I dream that?

Anyone know if Dowson has found a club yet?
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Old news really as they signed in May but seen them play today for Worksop against their former team Retford (at the ground both teams currently share)

Chris Bettney, who scored two crackers one with each foot in a 3-0 win and Michael Simpkins club captain at centre back.

Jamie Jackson also played for Worksop showed some nice touches, but as is the case every time I've seen him doesn't get involved enough.

just found this on a scunny site

'Adkins also said that Lee Turnbull, the club's head scout, travelled down to Torquay to watch Chris Zebrowski.'

I assume this is 'our' Lee Turnbull - didn't know he'd ended up there but not surprised as we signed him from donny - very much the same area

Yes he is at Scunny was talking with a friend who spoke to him at the Farewell Banquet and he was saying that Donal was not Championship quality.

Well I suspect the Man City scouts, what with them keeping him on, probably have a different view..but I`m sure the name, and opinion, of Lee Turnbull will have them re assessing their views!

Judging on his lack of first team opportunities at Scunny, he was probably right. That said, Donal is still very young so the highlighted section above might be better with the word YET added at the end.
If only....

I have it on good authority that Glyn Hurst has now left Hyde - where he was player/assistant manager. Don't know where, if anywhere, he's gone. Hyde are having an awful season.

Noticed a few scorers at the weekend, Till scored for York, Artus scored a good goal for Cheltenham, and Kerry scored one for Hinckley.

Gritton hit the post which led to torquay's goal.

Jesus Wept!

It gets reported that a player gets a comical fine for a being late once and all of a sudden he's a serial non-tryer who's career has been hindered by perpetual tardiness??!!

He was late for a meeting, big deal! Torquay have signed him on a long term loan deal from us, and long term loan deals connot be terminated early (ie outside the transfer window) so even if he went on walkabout for a week, they couldn't send him back!

Do we have to take very possible oppotunity to slate an (ex?) player??

On a semi official tour of saltergate last season, I came across a fines list which included £15 from Mark Allott for 3 counts of wearing flip flops. Colon had £10 for doing this twice.

No wonder they're stuck in the basement.

Wasn't aimed solely at you AG but more of a general frustration that payers get slated to high heaven based on the slightest little XXX-bit.

Someone will decide next that Mark Allot had no respect for authority as he continued o wear Flip Flops at the ground instead of a more supportive shoe, and had whe worn a nice air-cushioned number he could have played for Liverpool..........

For someone to even contemplate suggesting Gritton's career might have stuttered due to him lacking commitment is ludicrous!

And anyway, its probably stuttered due to him being a basement striker of limited ability!

Rant over!

Well Gritton hasn't exactly had a wonderful career has he, he's usually found himself out of the first team and sat on the bench or like last season here in the stands even though he was performing at reserve level, just wondered if him being late was a regular part of his career that has hindered his progress, not that we are going to find out anyway.

I knew there was something about Allott, the little blighter, I'd have thought he'd have known better than to wear flimsy footwear at work. ;)
