Good to seem him make it to the byline yesterday, though i'm fairly sure he had to stop for directions when he got to the penalty area.

I'll never understand whilst they cannot change things in the first half and have to wait for half time.

Because they can't stop the game for Cook to have a go at them, he changes what he can mid game, but there are things that can only be done at half time

Tee hee.
Chief Coach Bonnyman is trying to gently extract himself from his previous rather extreme view about Nat which may yet turn out to be a load of bollux.

It's not a left back we need

"well ridelhalgh is no good and smith aint much better"

quiet correct and i would say that at the time it was factual, ridelhalgh has gone very quickly and smith was not playing well at all, infact not a lot of players were playing well,id guess smith does not get injured as much as well under the new regime.
you strike me as though you are a bit of a c0ck if im honest,i could understand it if the initial thread was abusive of smith, but it wasnt, infact i put him up as man of the match and posted that he was outstanding defensively and offensively,so it appears you pick holes for no reason,as for nat smith being a bit short in the right footed department ,well thats another fact not a critism,if he had a right foot he would not be in this division, because he has when on his game everything to make a championship full back,if you want to pull up old threads pull up the one that said drew is a right back,it was well before sheridan ever played him there.

I think he's more competent than he's given credit for. Put a good ball in with his right peg yesterday and he's comfortable cutting inside. Players like Griffiths, Ridehalgh etc. were just as one footed but they never did this, Griffiths just ran down the line, gritted his teeth, got tackled and won a throw in and Ridehalgh just crossed it incessantly no matter where he was and 9 times out of 10 they were poor.

I'm looking forward to seeing Nate go forward more often under Cook, he's got attacking tendencies but somewhere down the line someone's shackled them.. maybe it was Sheridan stupidly playing Whitaker in front of him for almost all of last season (therefore meaning he had to stay back constantly) but his natural game showed in those friendlies at the start of last season which I'm pretty sure you saw ;) he basically played ahead of his winger all game.

whittaker playing on the left ,i think that was a role sheridan advocated on the advice of dim view, the internationally renowned forum plonker.

"as for nat smith being a bit short in the right footed department"

You make it sound like the Peter Cook Tarzan sketch.
