If voting only closed a few minutes before the end of the show, how did they know Murray had come third and have Lennox out in America to interview him?

Because there was an outside chance that Murray would win so they asked a previous winner who was local to be there on the live link with a replica of each trophy- it happens every year. They would have looked silly if he has won and there wasn't a presenter...

Great result. It only took 54 attempts to register my vote for Brad!! I wonder how many I'll be charged for?

As I have stated elsewhere, I suspect they will have had someone on hand out in Australia if Sir Chris Hoy had got in the top 3 as well. If I remember rightly when Ian Botham won back in '81 England were on tour in the Windies.

I think Andy Murray's personality must have sent him into a coma.

You'd best hope it's not 54!

 Think they must have grabbed Lennox off the street at the spur of the moment 'cos he didn't seem to have a clue what was happening.

Yes, it happened more recently when Flintoff won it as well and was presented with the replica trophy by Botham.
