One of the lads manages Clay Cross Town so if you've nowt to do tomorrow have a nip down to Parkhouses ground Old Tupton S45 9QJ for sat nav

Should be a good un. They're playing a well funded and well followed Mansfield side

I'm willing to bet quite a few have. Their last 4 home attendances have been only 2.2k, 2.3k, 2k, 1.6k.

Would that be a typical home gate for Clay Cross?

good following from Mansfield.

Game ended 2-2 with Clay Cross having 3(yes 3) sent off plus the manager was also sent off.

In the pub after with what must be the Mansfield money man. He was handing the players their wages. Apparently their wage bill is around 1500 quid a week. Clay Cross meanwhile play for f' all

That means the joint wage bill of both Mansfield clubs must be a whopping £1600 a week.

Back to the Woodthorpe pub just up from the ground where they had pizza, chips and hot dogs on. nobody could get to it cos of all the mansfield lot troffing into it

Probably best meal they've had this year

Mind you. I was more bothered about the Thatchers Gold at £1.99 a pint :-)

Naah, Some old chap with glasses.

Apparently they have given the manager six straight promotion seasons to go up the football pyramid otherwise sacked. He's allegedly on £80 per game at present

I dont get this AFC Scabs thing.

If they had formed while Agent Haslam was still running/owning the thing I could fully understand it, even have a tiny amount of sympathy for them....but now?

Why now though, when they have got rid of Haslam completely and the same fella that owns the club owns the ground?

I dont understand the timing of this at all, or what they are trying to achieve.
A new hope.
