Went to Wembley in 1958 and saw Bolton cheat Man U out of an FA Cup win.Yes ,it made me cry ! Went to the European Cup final in '68 -GREAT night -

SO....can somebody explain to me - like I'm a five year old - why I now dislike so much and have no respect for Manchester United here in 2012?

Is it owners who pay for their purchase with the clubs income .Is it the manager and his awful attitude - "I think Johnny caught him but he should have carried on ". (Can you imagine Ferguson having the same dignity as Di Matteo after a result like that ?) Is it the players - Evans -(laughing) -" Torres kicked me " - Or is it the supporters ?

Just what is it?

HELP !!

Why is it United's fault,Chelsea went to Old Trafford and won thanks to the officials and it cost United the league a few years back, anyway why make another thread when there is already one,the United haters will be out in force tonight that is for sure...

cant Blame Manchester United for disgracful Refereeing
Chelsea player gets sent off for clipping the Forwards heels no common sense used Red Card
Then almost exactly the same incident happens and Torres is sent off for diving
and then he allows a goal which was clearly offside. Now I have no allegence to either of these teams but believe I have had my Sunday view ruined because another Referee thinks we want to see them not a football match there is loads and loads of imcompetant refereeing.

I have seen worse challenges than the Torres one today and they haven't even been punished....

I dont have any bad feeling for either of these two teams I just think that referees have to be more accountable and use common sense Battenberg (sic) was very very poor and let some bad challenges go on both teams and then red carded two where is his common sense and I bet he thinks he was good I would give him 1/10 they say it even its self out and I suppose thats true but people pay a lot of money to see football not some idiot in a black shirt

Because everyone likes the underdog, and when United play the opposition is invariably the underdog due to the fact that Man U have won everything numerous times.

It's maybe because AF has been knighted even though he's a thug. He's not interlectually capable of giving a balanced view that would benefit the game as a whole.

Why didn't he compare Torres's ability to 'carry on' with Young's ability to 'carry on'?.

A lot of these Knights of the Realm should be de-Knighted. I blame Blair and Campbell.

It's because they think they have God given right to win everything.
Best team in the world.? They're not even the best team in Manchester. :D

I think people dislike them because of the managers antics, always moaning about time, moaning about the decisions, moaning about everything that doesn't go their way. Plus the fact he will never give credit to other teams performances, its always someone elses fault they lost....he comes across as arrogant and unlikeable.

The players also seem to think they are untouchable from refs, if decisions go against them they surround the ref, again an unlikeable bunch personality wise.

The fans are very similar to Liverpool fans, Liverpools fans always see themselves as the victims...the Manchester fans again are pretty arrogant (not all but most etc)

Other fans are jealous of them as well,

The FA seem to set one rule for them another for other teams etc...

However credit were credit is due, they play football the correct way, are entertaining and have deserved their achievements and AF is the best manager in the world. However, I just wsh they would be likeable as it is they aren't.

The most likeable team and manager of the big clubs is Everton and David Moyes....Moyes is an excellent manager on a small budget, is sociable, tells it as it is and the club are very workman like and a community club....I don't think anyone can really accuse Everton as a club that is arrogant, or unlikeable.

I can't answer that i am afraid,United did very little wrong tonight,i think the decisions even affected United's performance.....i have learned over the years you will never win with match officials and there officiating....

Andy pal your upset, the sending offs affected the game big time, first one was clear, second not so clear, diving is a big issue and at first glance it looked a dive,Torres should have walked for the challenge on Cleverley,it was high it was dangerous.....

For me it's not just Manchester u tied - its any of the big clubs. People all over the country "support" them without ever actually going to see them.

It really does my head in - I don't go drinking in town much anymore but you used to see them all on a Sunday when a big premier league clash was going off- in the barracuda in their "teams" shirts watching the match.man u shirts, Chelsea shirts, Liverpool shirts yet how many of them actually have been to watch any of their matches?

Their is also the common reasoning of "my family supports them so I do"

I'm from chesterfield - I support chesterfield. No other team and that's how it should be.
Every need got an ego to feed
