What's happening? Well, we've seen the back of two managers since that was said.

Nothing but a top 3 finish - that isnt looking likely so he fired the manager, and has appointed someone else - what do you want him to do exactly?
A new hope.

Give it a blinking rest.

Make no mistake, yesterday's result was a kick in the swingers. I actually thought we played well enough to take all 3 points, Barnet deserved nothing from the game, but the result just about sums up our season to date.

There were some positives, mainly the performances of Hird, Darikwa, Togwell, Whits & Atkinson.

A 5-3-2 or 4-4-2 approach next week will help Jack's game, we might also see Tommy back in contention, together with other players that TW & MC haven't been able to select.

This week will prove a steep learning curve for Paul Cook, his first task will be to understand which players he can/can't rely upon on a Saturday afternoon.

Forget this season its about rebuilding realistically if Cook gets us into the top ten he will have done well. Then the real work starts

I know where you are with this; I don't want to agree with you but fear you may be right. Perhaps if the players respond to the new manager in the right way, then we may be able to put the sort of run together than can see us threaten to do something at the top, but if they do not respond, we're in limbo really, until the season's end. I think it'll have to be largely the players we've got who do it.

 The plan to achieve the target satisfied the bank balance but always lacked substance.DA's reputation went downhill with me after all that bull and now he has to rebuild our faith with "plan B".But we are still choked by Sheridans legacy and will have all on to get anywhere near the play-offs this season.
Many a good tune

With the players we have we shouldn't be writing the season off just yet. We are lucky in a way to have the cup game before our next league match

Reaching the play-offs should not be too much to ask, unfortunately it then becomes a lottery regarding which team receives the final promotion place.

The five year plan and basically everything the boardroom spit out is just a load of poop, a mere marketing strategy. We got all starry-eyed and believed we could get to the Championship, we couldn't have been more wrong. Floating around in the depths of League Two mediocrity is where we'll be for a few more years yet.
Happiness is like a cake. Have too much; and you get sick of it.
