As CT has been running the club on a daily basis for getting on for a year, can we presume he's been given a 'buck your ideas up' conversation?

Lets B****Y well hope so!

I couldn't help myself smile whilst listening to that interview but I'm still very tentative. Throw me into the 'believe it when I see it' group.

But CFC IS the individual employees. This move IMO is absolute madness because it disrupts the whole squad and management team when we were gradually improving and collecting enough points to remain in contention. This decision has completely undermined our progress, and used up money that could have strengthened the squad and enabled us to move up the table. I really hope it works out, and I will support any CFC manager, as always, but I am not very hopeful that we can recover from this blunder.

Tommy Wright blew it by being so negative at home.

There was a sigificant improvement in the away results and TW and MC deserve alot of the praise for that. I was very encouraged by the clean sheets at Aldershot and Exeter for example. We would not have got those clean sheets under Sheridan. I also have no problem with a bit of negativity away from home. I will happilly take a few dull 1 - 0 wins and nil nil draws away from the Proact.

But we have got to attack at home and get the crowds in. There is also no excuse for not attacking and being fearful at home to league 2 outfits when we have genuine class like Lester and Boa Morte up front.

It's a shame for TW who by all accounts is a decent guy, who is clearly respected by the players. With a bit of boldness at home and a extra few points as a result in this very tight league TW could have got the job til the end of the year easily. He really has blown the chance.

My wish is that we get Paul Cook's attacking Accrington style of play at home, but Tommy Wrights clean sheets away. If we can crack that we'll be laughing, though it's easier said than done obviously. My concern about Paul Cook is defence, 5 conceded by Accy at Oxford and for all the great football against when Accy played us we put 4 past them. We have to defend too. The Sheridan promotion season with its "you score 3 we score 4 philosophy" like Keegan at Newcastle wont always work.

perhaps crossley should not give advice on how his chairman spends his money,as for helping him out a hole, surely that was part of his job.

Coupled with “He won’t get anyone better”. Not the sort of statements to make when we are still outside the playoff’s and playing dour negative football.

didnt realise crossley spoke for tw. tw job was coach not manager he helped out when we needed him and should have got some respect .
what would you think if your boss did that to you . if he had a problem with mc comments then he should have had a word with him not r/s
if he cared about this club half as much as he makes out he wouldnt be taking a gamble on mr cook he would be getting a bigger named manager that had won this league before

Crossley was clearly trying to pressure DA by essentially questioning his judgement in the media, that was a serious misjudgement.

Tommy was doing similar complaining about the length of time it was taking, far too honest for his own good

The change in DA's attitude towards the management team was stark. I can't believe it was because he only just found about the training regime

Like Sheridan you mean? The problem is for every L2 title won on a manager's CV there are normally a fair few sackings that accompny it. There aren't really any of them that come without some sort of baggage and no "experienced" manager that would guarantee success.

I'm not enthused by Cook coming in at the moment but I hope to be in the forthcoming weeks as results and performances hopefully pick up.

he helped out with the intention of making the job his own,at no stage did tommy wright turn round and say im here to help out and help out only,if that had been the case he might have been thanked but he was given a 24 carat opportunity to get the job and came up short .

To be fair the appointment doesn't fill me with delight but lets hope after a short Honeymoon period he makes improvements.
Let's face it SURELY the players will up their game to impress the Manager and they still have their beloved TW & MC to help.

DA & CT must have a hunch about what they want and PC seems to fit their bill. Let's not be over critical until we see the outcome. DA seemed very outspoken on what he expects from the Club and if he wants to see his money back he needs to fulfil his promises. His words were, "We are a Championship Club" That's higher than anyone on here believes so let's see what he does.

Paul Cook might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but at least we didn’t appoint an overweight, transvestite wannabe like our neighbours across the border.

The thing I like about that interview is that Allen is echoing the thoughts of many of the fans (certainly including me)- club no further forward under Wright, why did Evans come in and not play, disappointed that Richards came on and limped off (was he risked too early) etc etc. Great to hear honesty instead of bland diplomacy. The idea that footballers should train full time for their large wages just as those who watch them have to work full time is one that's probably appealed to most fans for donkeys years, and it's great to hear that CFC will take that approach too. Shape up or ship out
These go to eleven.
