As I said Larkin first touch is sublime (if the rest of his game was half that good he'd be at least playing championship football!) but he's with us because he's Colin Larkin ~ and we have to find a goal scorer to go along side him, as he is never going to hit double figures (which even the Chief can manage!)

Let hope Heath's the one and he starts against Southend.

An interesting point, Ive been thinkin about somethin relating to this. Chief scored 6 last season, is on about double that this, how many of those r assists from larkin? I think this shows how valuable larkin is to the side. Maybe he isnt scoring but players around him are, (hall chief) both have more goals that anyone in the team last season. I would really like tcham, or heath (as larkin sez he can hit back of the net) playin alongside larkin for a sustained period.

So, you would put him straight back in against the Sarfend front two?.

Definitely.

Yep, Radio Sheff reported tonight that Kovacs and Downes were to continue as Lord Blathers hasn't quite made it.

So, should we be worried about tomorrow? Despite the defeat, I don't think our showing against Hartlepool was too bad and although i couldn't make it on Wednesday i've heard the performance might have been something similar. Unfortunately for us, it is getting to that stage of the season where results matter a lot more than performances and i think that's why frustrations are setting in amongst fans. It might be time to try something else and as Folan doesn't seem to be doing it at the moment i say let's see what young Heath's got going for him.

I also remember after a bad couple of results in the past this season, the squad has come back and done the business straight after - remember Macc/Huddersfield and Orient/Bristol City, anyone? ;)

Shame about Blathers, but I have confidence in Downes and Kovacs, as long as Rochey quickly develops an understanding with them. I'd like to have a look at Heath, because none of us know what he can do yet. I think Roy will put Niven back into midfield with Allott, Hurst and O'Hara, and push Hall up front with Larks. That team could be effective, and I'm still hopeful of getting a good result.
