This is the weakest division we have played in for years hence 4 wins from 20 and still 7th (for a while anyway) we have been playing relegation football for weeks now but thanks to those around us who have kept letting us off the hook. We have the best team we have had for years, and still we can't hack it. We the supporters have once again raised our hopes only to have them dashed all with promise of 'next season' we'll go up. The teams has been let down with Roy's maniacal decisions and tactical negativity I have have nothing but admiration for the players but over the last 2 months Roy has lost the plot and him alone has thrown away all the promise from the start of the season and wasted a golden opportunity for what could have been a really special season, alas not to be so to you Roy thanks for dashing my hopes ans I wave goodbye to the play offs and live in eteral hope for next season just like the past 28

I think if the players were asked they would disagree and say Roy has done wonders for them, irrespective of the last few months results. The fact that we are still 7th means nearly everybody in the league is palying relegation football as we have never really had a gap between us and the rest.

It is a poor league or you could argue competitive, in the sense that there are no outstanding teams this year, thus giving us our chance. Reality is we have some good players and we have some young players in the mix, but we aren't a good team that can take others apart. We are consistant in the sense we are a workmanlike team that is difficult to break down but we perhaps don't have the in depth quality to maintain our push for a top place. The play offs may not be a certainty, they may not even be realistic but at this point they are still attainable.

Roy is now in the perfect position to strengthen with a couple of quality loan signings. As other people have said, this is an excellent strategy because the costs are relatively low, say £35k. There must be loads of championship midfielders and forwards who know they will not be retained at the end of the season. Horlock is an excellent example. If they get paid up by their club, then they will play for us for relatively low wages, as Heath is doing. Without getting paranoid, we've also got to be aware that 2 of the bottom 4 teams are averaging well over a point a game, so the safety level might be as high as 55 points this year.

Are you Dave Penney in disguise? That was the points number he was quoting yesterday and they were some way off that before the last 2 wins. We need to keep battling and hope for the September to November form when we still lost but strung a few wins together also. You just never know in football, particularly at this level and that's what makes it so interesting.

This Board spend £35k :P Mind you I have heard on the grapevine that they have splashed out at the club and replaced a bulb in the stand food cabin, but it is only a rumour.

It's quite a relief to see you back to your normal self Fishy; I was quite worried about your health when we were in the top six, as I don't think your constitution could take undue success. Just a word of warning though - I don't think our play-off hopes are finished yet, so you'd better keep taking the tablets just in case.

as previously stated, the standard of this division is absolute gash- we are still 7TH with our recent record- if we/roy can re-discover the mid-season form (attack, attack, attack?) when teams must have been frightened to play us, we can go up....... this is a 'trash' league...... we should really be in the top three, not hovering
larks just needs one good strike for his confidence- best player at the club by a mile (assume the caleb fans agree????) we are flattered at the moment to have a player of his class... he is too good for cfc, play him & leave him on for 90 mins- the best creator/potential scorer for years
hurst is too good but local & wants to be here
these guys want success- if not, forest etc are hovering

we need to go up this year... this is our best chance for years

go for it roy tomorrow.... attack from minute one

SOUTHEND? for god's sake, they are southeners......
rico's barmy army
