Calling all doomsayers, happy clappers, economists etc.... Whats your best guess for todays attendance?

I'm going 5,200 (200 away fans)

Whilst its a lighhearted thread and after reading this board lately god knows we need one! It does have serious implications as to how much wedge the club will get this season. Given our non to startling start and the fact that i've got a £20 wager riding on our average attendance it will be very interesting.

I dont think the previous matches are a good benchmark of our level of support as one was a local derby and traditionallly we never get great gates in the holiday season. Though the turnout at York was excellent! So I believe today's turnout will be pretty much the reflect what our average this season will be.................. unless we finish top or (god forbid) bottom 3 !

The family ticket offer will swell the crowd a little.

I'd guess 6,250

Considering our results, it has held up well. Only Bradford, Plymouth, Rotherham got higher gates and they are really MASSIVE.. much bigger catchment than us. As you say a win on Tuesday and a result at Northampton and we will be nearer 6,000. I hope that the ones that have stuck with us are rewarded with some goals and better performances.

This season with the small away followings being placed into the North East Corner, this gives the club an opportunity to use, capitalise on the North Stand especially with the kids (the future customers) at virtually all the home games this season....except possibly Bradford, Port Vale, Oxford, Bristol R, Burton, York, Northants & possibly Exeter at thelast match.

Kids for a £1 with a paying adult, advertised all over / in the local media etc. The club would soon make up the 'difference' with the sales of pop, crisps, food, programmes and a visit to the club shop etc.

Get em hooked young dont loose them to the dee-dar clubs, Derby, Forest,Leeds, The Mancs and the Scousers, virtually any other club within an hours travelling.

Mr Carson theres an empty stand virtually every week why not atempt to try and fill it ??

It's not urine poor is it considering we're back where we were when Sheridan took over but we've got 2k more thru the gate. Weneed better and will get it but you need to put things in perspective.

That exact deal was on today and seemingly had only a couple hundred takers!

Admittedly, only available through various schools though.
