Everyone inside the ground is entitled to sing or start a chant, it doesn't have to be the same few week in week out. So if you are reading this post and agree but don't join in ask yourselves why not!

You don't get promoted from having the noisiest fans!
The best group of fans were the kids at the front of the family stand, they were singing most of the match. Had some older tunes in there as well!

Traditionally the kop has always lifted the atmosphere at the games but it seems times are a changing and the kop can't be relied upon to Rock da House (trendy eh). The drummer seems to try but it's a bit repetitive. Us old codgers have been there and done it. The youngsters shouldn't be whining about it and blurting excuses like "anyone can start the chants". That's rubbish, sorry it's their job and if you park your backside at the centre, rear of the kop you take on the responsibility to gee up the crowd.
Come on you whippersnappers, get a grip.

I made that comment and at 48 I am not a youngster, also I sit in the East stand not in the kop. Singing and getting behind the team is not just the job of the young uns.

Most of the young 'uns do sing. I sit near the middle of the Kop with a lot of adults/older blokes who you don't hear a peep out of - they should also take responsibility, not just the youngsters.

Never heard Wycombe tbh sat at back kop.
Boring game and players and crowd both went into comfort zone at 2-0.
We won cheer up a few more wins starting Tuesday the crowds and atmosphere will build

Not hearing a peep out of the old codgers is nothing new. It used to be like that. We just used to make up for their lack of vocal input. It's a young mans responsibility to get the ground rockin. We had to do it so why should this lot get away with it?
As an old codger I reserve the right to join in and not initiate, I've had that many sore throats I have earned that right. No excuses, get singin. ;-)

Yes but using the logic in your earlier post, if they're sitting high up in the middle of the Kop then they should join in too. The Kop isn't full of youngsters, there's a lot of 'oldies' in there too who should help out if they're bothered about creating a decent atmosphere.

Everyone is entitled to chose whether or not to start or join in singing or chanting.
Re your second sentence: Some aren't interested in singing and prefer to just watch the game. They shouldn't be criticised or lambasted for making this choice.

The Kop Choir is not a members only closed shop. Instead of hurling childish insults at a group of people that "try" go and join them.

To be fair the Kop Choir did the best they have done all season, even joined by the West Side of the Kop for the first time.
But surely it is not down to just the Kop Choir to start singing, anyone can sing and start.
Thought there was a little spark all round the kop to be fair.

Not that I need to as I've already stated but here goes once again for the folk that only have selective reading,
I have spent my time in the middle of the kop home and away and sung myself voiceless on more occasions than I care to remember, I know sit in the family stand with my young son and brother with his, I dare say both of those will one day move to the kop, but in the mean time it is and always has been the responsibility of the kop to raise the atmosphere, then the other stands join in, not usually the other way round but in recent times it has been the kids in the east family that keep the atmosphere going as they were trying yestdi.

it is not the fault of the main group of singers around yogi if the rest of the kop chose to sit in silence ffs. stop blaming those who try and blame those who dont join in.
