you must have had some very odd managers. I've not met one yet who took the advice of his staff. Every manager is a dictator, fact of life.

I'm not disagreeing with you; you make very good points & agree with you. I was just stating that 3 people who were part of a team for 5 years surely made decisions together, or they would have parted company when they left Oldham. Something must have gelled them together to be with us for another 3 years. TW & MC were all responsible as much as JS for player decisions. There's no I in team!

Spot on RM and I do believe Town Fan who is having a go at fans on here for saying what they see... What's the point of the message board IF we all say the same thing.. 'We won that's nice' and don't discuss the performance??? If you think that peoples opinions are pathetic then what's that make your view?

For what it's worth (and I've said this all along), is that ANY manager (and this includes TW) is going to have their work cut out with the shambles of a squad that JS has once again chucked together. You wouldn't mind so much if we had one of the worst budgets in the league, but to have a good budget once more and get it so wrong says everything about JS! Mind you I have been saying so since six months into his first season
So we may as well give TW the backing and see what he can do with the shambles he's inherited. IF it becomes apparent that he also hasn't got a clue then we need to act, but other than that, lets just wait and see as the large contracts are going to cost.

Team spirit seems to be getting us by at the moment (and the obvious quality of Jack, another stupid thing that clueless Sheridan did was hardly to play him, what a waste!) and it will remain to see what TW will bring to the party when we lose a couple, that will be the real test for him.

Oh, and the performances that we've deserved to win must have been away from home (York apart) as I've not seen a game were we failed to win and we should have (including York).

I think what Town Fan is getting at is with some posters the result is the important thing in a scenario when we play well, deserve to win but don't take all three points. When we don't play well but manage to snatch a win, for some reason, the performance is the most critical factor, the result is now secondary. It is a little hypocritical in these circumstances.
