I was expecting a change at half time. I thought Allott on would help us keep possession.

Can't help thinking that Tommy Wright is one lucky so and so, perhaps our luck in the JPT last season was due to him being present.

The problem was the midfield four played too deep, too close to the defence -usually about five yards! This meant the front two were isolated and they had difficulty in holding the ball up when it was played forward. The game was crying out for Danny Whitaker playing behind the front two and linking the midfield and forwards. I hope he's back for saturday.

This formation denied Accy many clear cut chances but cannot be deemed a success!

Has O'Donnell made a save or caught a cross yet -I can't remember one. Is Tommy nearly fit? How good is the young lad from Sunderland?

One positive from last night: The complete lack of tackles by our midfield meant no dangerous free kicks given away ;)

Another was that at least Tommy seemed to have exactly the same thoughts as most on here per his post match interview.

Accrington were better all over the park. They played faster and kept the ball a lot better.

We won it because the linesman for some reason didn't flag Richards offside and the goal stood, the the ref and the linesman both missed the blatant hand ball that led to Jacks second. On that footing we were very very lucky last night. Having said that they would have only scored 1 goal if we had a decent keeper between the sticks. 2 terrible blunders by our keeper. Looks like a mark 2 version of Fleming. No wonder the bowels let him go

Tommy would have saved first and second goals and caught the corner on Saturday that led to Wycombes goal.Hurry up Tommy we need you.

We won because our players, as individuals, made fewer errors in important areas. Of the three areas, defence, midfield and up front, we were better in defence and up front. Meatloaf time, innit?
