I never rated Trottman last year and thought Holden was better, but Hird is even worse than Trottman! We desperately have to bring in another big strong central defender in on loan as we can't keep hoping the opposition go down to ten men every week and we score three goals to win a game!

It would be worth a try playing Forbes at centre back, though I would like to still see another CB on loan. I would play Westcarr on the right as he's not left footed and he can put a good delivery in, unlike Talbot on the whole. Which still means we need a left midfielder for more balance.

Time for Wright to grow a pair and axe the Hird CB and captain default position. Hird was Sheridan's captain and CB. Sheridan has gone. Wright can do what a new manager would do and take action on these issues. His record may be good so far but imo he is skating on thin ice. Good CM required, new LM, plus extra striker. 4 players still required to make us automatic promotion challengers.

Can we please stop trying to move a player who is by all accounts (no surprise to me) in the top 3 so for the best player of this season to a position he never wanted to play/shouldn't really have played for the past few years/isn't his best in.

Some Bunkum managers who thought "duh he's big..." have stuck him centre half

As a fan and someone who watched him person in his QPR days on a number of occasions...PLEASE...do not come up with this crap as he is a footballer. Don't waste him. He contributes more to our play than our blue eyed boy Talbot.

He'll make mistakes out of position. Leave him where he is best. As a fullback who gives us an extra bit of aerial defensive ability.

Watch the game and think about it.
