I was there yesterday. Apart from playing it around instead of long ball football what was the big difference?
We still sat back and invited them to attack.

We won. That was the big difference, for me. :D

They pressed us back for about 15 minutes in the second half but wouldn't have scored, if we hadn't have done it for them. We responded to their getting into the game by bringing on a sub to reimpose width; we went on to re-establish a two-goal cushion.

...this is like one of them school theory questions in't it.

Q. What characterises a professional footballer?.

A. A professional footballer at any level is a person who must be able to impose his skills over and above those of another player for some portion of a football match.

If no Wycombe players had been capable of providing them with any periods of ascendancy, then what's the point paying them?.

We got a bit nervous in the second half on saturday, which is understandable after what happened at york and it isnt always easy to play against 10 men. we won which is the main thing.

the bottom line is that results have been quite good since JS left, dont forget we have only lost once and should really have a couple of more points at least. A win tommorow night and we will be up there close to if not in the top ten.

TW has to be given credit for signing the lad atkinson who most people on here said we didnt need him!!

Before the advent of professionalism, every game was a goalless draw.

It doesn't have to mean in a conscious manner, ie their heads are down, not enjoying their work etc therefore performance suffers. I thought you might have understood being nice to folk elicits a more pleasant association

Agree with that, but they are letting themselves down but more importantly they are letting the supporters down

No, I agree, and not in a sarcastic manner, but, and I say this admittedly as someone who stayed loyal to Sheridan for probably too long, it cannot have been a good working environment , either on match day or day to day involvement, for people to have been involved in over the last few months here. Hence people, probably subconsciously , not giving of their best.

Yes but some of the stuff that R2D2 puts up is the same old rubbish without foundation, especially his targetting of Whitaker of late. Agree or disagree?
