We buy all our tea for Northern Tea Merchants (NTM) up on Chatsworth Road and have done for years. At first it was about supporting a local business and then I got into the complexities of the product and became engaged.
On a recent trip to Sri Lanka we stayed in the town of Kandy and I was taken aback by the quality of the teas produced there. I brought a few packs back with me and quickly ran out. Thankfully NTM stock exactly the same tea from the plantations we visited so I am stocked up again.
Highly recommend a trip to the NTM’s. A successful local business selling top quality products.
Currently sat here drinking a tea from Nuwara Ellya is fantastic just how it comes, no milk, no sugar.

Ask them about the time the cost of Earl Grey had rocketed and as a cost cutting exercise they decided to create their own. A quantity of oil of Bergamot (expensive) was procured a sheet was laid on the backyard and covered in Keemun leaves and a spraying procedure began, unfortunately freak a gust of wind deposited the leaves on Sydney Street.

My other half and her mum are obsessed with what was previously their Derbyshire tea and now known as gourmet tea.

Do you have a coffee machine? I’ve considered one but think I’d get bored pretty quick, lack of patience.
Buy the Taylor’s coffee bags. 25p a cup and a half decent americano and infinitely better than instant coffee
A new hope.
