And, what's more, the fans have clearly heeded the advice to arrive early for their first game in the new place.

It's true, meaning of course food, beverage and the suites, whether on the day or indeed for events (but not match day ticket sales).
Rotherham sold the rights for a number of years for a lump sum, which I am sure Evans is burning through as we speak.

They got £6.1million over a 5 year deal....so everything the company makes from matchday food, corporate hospitality and any events that take place all goes to the company rather than the club....

Is it a good deal...who knows, the only people who will, compared to our club are the accounts....do we make £1.2million a year profit from food and alcohol sales, matchday corporate and year long events income?

At the fans forum...DA stated we make over 300k profit from matchday corporate....then you have to add in the fact, matchday food and alcohol...I heard we usually take between 10-15k but thats turnover not profit pergame....call it 8k per game profit x23 nearly 200k there...so half a million without any extra events so yer i guess your probably right....

I went to the house auction one night and it was packed, so they would have had to hire the venue at a cost for that etc, then there are weddings and all that stuff, plus elton etc...

Is that correct, that the match day takings are not theirs? Not questioning what you say just not heard this before.

It was widely mentioned on their Forum, they thought they were quids in until someone from the club explained it was part of the secret deal done to bridge the gap. Possibly a £1.25m mistake if they attract the same as we did in our first season.

They were all bragging about the Concourse facilities and how well they looked until it was pointed out that the club will not receive a penny from the takings

If I wasn't mistaken they don't actually own the ground or something similar.

I drive past it every day for work and the more it's gone on the tackier it has become, I would rather have ours and that's not being biased that's just my opinion.

totally agree,

how many of you saying it looks impressive have actually seen it in the flesh, so to speak, from the pics it looks good in when in front of you it looks, well horrible, all steel structure pipework etc holding the stands, the stepped sides look odd, and if it wasn't for that it would look like the usual indentikit ground,

when it was being built it looked like it would be a quality stadium now its done(more or less),lets just say, its fitting its surroundings.
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

I drove past a while ago and wasnt keen on the way it looked outside. Its almost as if they've tried to make it look like some massive imposing stadium but not actually got there.

Quite impressive, the roof is odd though. (Could be all part of the plan to upset the away team). I would think that when the B2 has its corners filled in it will be just as impressive and without creditors knocking on the door.

At least its not half empty every week like yours will be. Seriously 12,000 seats is far too many for a tinpot club your size. And it still cost 8 million more than ours for those few extra seats too
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything!
