If Clare and Hughes stay in for the next 30 mins and then beyond lunch the game could start to move very quickly.

Think they may have been told to go for the extra batting point that was left.

ironically, that one yarkshire loving supporter of Chesterfield is silent at the moment, still I assume when things wrong as they inevitably will, he'll pipe up and tell us all where we went wrong.

Hello, you called???? :windup For some reason we haven't started the season very well, even with Rooty and Bres back in the side!

Wait while they are away with the England set up, it will be a long season for both. Durham could be our saviour I think this season.

Amusing little stat off the back of the innings by Hughes :-

OptaJim ‏@OptaJim 57m
270 - @ChesneyH22's 270* is the 3rd highest LVCC score this decade after Carberry's 300* & Goodwin's 274* in 2011, all 3 were v Yorks. Big.

Make that 110/0, must be a fairly flat one at Headingley!

With the return of the heavy roller i suspect there could be more draws this season compared to last as wickets have the life squeezed out of them. At times being a bowler is a thankless task and you may as well just get a couple of bowling machines out and base games on which team can hit it out of the park the most!!
