how annoying is that - all out for 298 and Somerset on same batting points...

what a bummer and from 206-2 as well

Durham off to a flyer, think the great escape is over

Not a good day but, we really need 3 more wickets before they get to 110 overs to get a second bonus point and keep us technically ahead of Somerset.

Last out tomorrow and the weather should save us but I don't see that happening at Taunton, that'll put Somerset 12/13 points ahead

That bonus point could still important I suppose, with Somerset playing Notts who still need to watch themselves. Perhaps Warwickshire will play a scratch team against us

Another end of season heart stopper at the County ground?

Slight aside...Footitt has turned down a contract and is interested in a move to Surrey apparently.

Looks like Somerset will win - we really need the draw now as we'll get 7 points and they will have 21 points so we'll be 13 behind I think......

Simpler equation then as we need a win v my home county and that could do it as long as Notts do us a favour....

Surrey win their game in hand and then it gets confusing.

That said we might see a contrived result this afternoon as there appears to be one in Hove.

WTF - very disappointing. Scathing report on sporting life. It maybe true but I never read such critical comments on other counties. Must have been written by a tyke!

Interesting story coming out of Derbyshire...rather than upgrading the County Ground they may move. Sites in Chesterfield and Sth Derbyshire possible although a lot it refers to councils helping them out be it to find a new site in Derby or to move to Chesterfield. Following on from the fun and games about changes to Queens Park leisure centre i'm not sure chucking a few million at a cricket ground would go down well!!

http://www.derbytele...tail/story.html

Think moving to Sth Derbyshire would be a mistake, although with Grants links i wouldnt be surprised to see something built at Swarkestone...they have half the Academy playing there already! Its not clear whether the Chesterfield option is to do something with Queens Park or a completely new site but if its a new site i'm not sure where they could end up.

I don't think Chesterfield is a bad idea but I cannot see it happening.
