We deserve to go down if we lose this but from reports the wicket is shocking for batsman and has seriously crumpled, not be long before its looked at I think.

But oh well we certainly couldn't determine the toss, who won it and what did they decide to do first ?

A good morning tomorrow and we could make things very uncomfortable for one or two or the fashionable counties.

Of course it will be looked at its Derbyshire. However its a four day game and the track should get worse! Was reading a Durham forum the other day and they were whining about the track at that one the other day.

Looking positive today. Also read we are in discussions with Matt Coles, would be a decent capture and at the right age too.

Saw that about Coles..would be a good signing.

On the flip side we've been docked two points enforced next season for the pitch used v Durham in the yb40 game last week.

When do you get the second new ball in the County Championship?

As I type, looks like they just got the 9th wicket.

On top of a good win looking good elsewhere as well....Somerset going to get a draw at best so we will be out of the bottom two whilst Surrey are struggling v Durham.

Durham 421
Surrey 83/6 (25.0 ov)
Surrey trail by 338 runs with 4 wickets remaining in the 1st innings

A result and turn around to be proud of, especially with a handful of academy graduates in the side.
