I think he has realised that the money put into ground plans should really have been put into the team itself. I will say without looking that the least score will be 0

Don't understand why derby was developed so much. It still looks soulless, it'll never get a big game and we'll never fill it.

And now we are trapped in derby with a shrinking support in the rest of the county

I reckon I heard blokes with Derbyshire accents supporting York

We are going to compete with Nottingham?

I live near Hampshire's Rose Ball and it is by far the best new test ground and better than some of the older test grounds

The have one poorly supported test match against Sri Lanka

There are 9 test grounds as it stands and not enough tests

The intention is not to host test cricket at all if you read thr press release but to possibly get a World Cup game or maybe host a lower end international one day fixture. The ground developments will improve facilities at the county ground that have been long overdue ie Lund Pavilion.

Things like the ashes county's will bid and pay to host one with the plan they make a profit after that expenditure. Remember a while back the notts glee when they got one this year and the next ashes tour over here I think. Not been to the rose bowl but apparently whilst the ground/facilities are good access is a royal pain in the backside.

Darcy with all due respect sod the press release I had the chairman talk me through the whole lot, even to go as far as to telling me how much they got for the land at the back of the members lounge, they are after a test match, they have been told by the ECB if they get it all done before the next World Cup they can have one of the games 100% guaranteed. By the way the test they are aiming for is against Sri Lanka. The ground will look amazing if the plans work but for me it's no good if there is not a team to bring the crowds in, they are also speaking with the council about links to and from the train station.

The chairman was on twitter earlier apologising for the display saying that to survive in the top flight no stone will stay unturned.

Not sure what he means. This season is over if we lose today. The majority of our team is made up of cast offs from other counties.Burgoyne was the only positive for me.We need to rebuild with a youth policy. It will take time but one step backwards. On a brighter note Impy Dark was on sale at the Brampton Brewery stand. No plans to introduce at the Proact but if the demand was there they would

Rebuilding with youth is a long term plan and its already started a few years ago when Krikken took over. Likes of redfern, whiteley, poynton, slater, Alex Hughes, Burgoyne amongst others all come through the ranks having played local cricket. Few years ago I suspect they wouldn't have got a sniff.

Agree but the youngsters need more opportunities. No time like the present. Some of our more experienced batsmen don't seem interested in either batting or fielding. No names mentioned

Sorry but you have lost me. The youngsters are getting the chances it's the seniors that are Bunkum.
The youth policy this season has probably cost us relegation where we needed to invest in at least 2 senior batsman and both being openers.

Glad I didn't bother going today. One day in five was punishment enough.

Apologies I didn't know you had spoken to the chairman personally and was just going from the information in the public eye.

There are too many Test venues as it is. I think we should stay well clear of any ambitions in that particular direction.

Oh I'm completely in agreement mate I would rather never host a test and have an established division 1 team without a doubt, what's the point having a glamorous stadium and a Bunkum team ? Ask Yorkshire

No need to apologise mate I'm hoping he lied through his ring to me and its not his intentions at all, but I think he wants to be the johnny big bollox of Derbyshire cricket which will be a massive failure.
