We had that in the bag and then two poor shots from men in, Morgan especially (we needed 20 off 16 at that point) and we'd chucked it away.

Sharma went from getting hit for six and unable to hit the cut bit to taking out to the two in batsmen.

Two poor third umpire decisions didn't help mind giving Bell out and the giving of four when Bresnan slid and stopped it. Both were guesses and not what a third umpire shoud be doing. Also how we ended up with a dry spinning massively pitch in England after 10 days of crap weather I don't know!

Didn't see the other incident but no way should Bell have been given out. To be honest though I can't pretend I'm all that bothered. The Ashes is all I'm bothered about as far as international cricket goes this summer.

Should be a decent evening in Queens Park on Wednesday. Think we'll aim to get a few of the lads down to watch and have a beer or three.

Good job Dema isn't a cricket fan or the third umpire would have been hung drawn and quartered by now with his four parts sent to the furthest points of these sceptred isles
East stand second class citizen.

Oxenford wasn't it? He is. No shock there.

Good of the Aussies to keep us smiling, sacking the coach a fortnight before the Ashes.

Skipper Clarke apparently stepped down as a selector as well...that could be interesting with the skipper not having a say on his team.

The only downside to this whole farce is if its Lehman that takes over he won't take any crap and could make them not quite as bad.

Panic kicked in but I'm still struggling to figure out the difference that saw bell given out and broad not out.

can't blame the umpire for crap shots from Morgan, Bopara and Buttler or for ridiculous idiotic cricket from Bresnan

and Bell was hardly pulling up any trees in his innings anyway

Also the umpire gave them a four in their innings that was a guess which meant we needed 6 off last ball not four.

Also not sure how we ended up with a pitch that was more like a late test match pitch after days if crap weather. Can you believe that if it was in India a nice green seamer would have been prepared!?!

Be interesting to know whether the groundsman was free to produce what he wanted or if there was outside influence from the ICC about it.

Can't do much about the crowd as its down to who buys tickets. Suspect a lot bought on the fact India were likely to get there. Most England fans more bothered about securing ashes tickets.

Just get the feeling that many in the higher powers of cricket will be pleased that India won.

To be fair to Bopara and Morgan, they basically put us in a position to go on and win the game......

Before naively giving their wickets away while the chase was more than attainable.
