Just the 42 internation T20s and 225 T20 games domestically for various teams. Just played in his 6th IPL i think!!

Decent stats as well :-
http://www.espncrici...ayer/46248.html

Averages just over 26 with a strike rate over 140!! Bowling stats are decent as well.

In the second Champions Tropy semi today...India run out of seamers due to the amount of swing about and not fancying the spinners so Dhoni has took the keepers kit off, given it to someone else and brought himself on!! Nearly had a wicket second ball as well but overturned on review!!

To be fair it got sunny and those two didnt play some of the awful shots the top order did. They also got about 6/7 overs of Bopara and Root bowling at the same time. Happens a lot these days, folks down the order can bat and dont just roll over like they used to.

Very true. Main thing is we won and played very sensibly in doing so.

I think we'll struggle to beat India in the final though (assuming they capitalise on their fine start today).

On a further point, has anyone had any Ashes tickets through yet? I've not received ours yet.

Very good batting by Trott and Root saw us home easily. Trott is coming in for some awful, and it my eyes, unwarranted stick. Has a healthy average and yes he doesnt blast boundaries but yesterday had a strike rate of 90+ and over his career its nearly 80 i think. That strike rate is more than acceptable if you are scoring big runs like he does. Its even more useful when its like it has been over here the last few games where the ball is moving about. Big toss to win on Sunday whoever we play.

Fairly sure our Trent Bridge ones have arrived.

My Trent Bridge ones have, also agree with you about Trott. I had the ESPN app running and the commentary on there was belittling him all the way through and at the end of the day he did what was needed and that's good enough for me.

Problem with Cricinfo is the completely biased Indian commentary on there half the time. It was nigh on impossible to read when England were over there. The vast majority of comments shows as well are all indians!!

Trott is class and his average and strike rate are fine for ODIs

Problem is we have too many 'slow' players at the top of the order - too much pressure on the middle/lower order to biff it at the end (although this is working in this tournament - sort of)

KP should open instead of Cook or Bell when he is fit

I think Cook and Trott is fine with Bell being the issue. Think he opens cos there is no where for him in the middle order. Cant drop Root now then its the ones that are there to finish the innings currently. Opening with KP certainly worked against Pakistan in that series.

Don't you think this is the way to go in the new format though? 130/140-2 coming into the 35th over and there is every possibility you might make 300.

It's a definite plan from England. Steady players at the top of the order, who if necessary can score quickly, but with the main aim of getting to the 30th over and not be more than 2/3 down.

It could go very wrong though. See Sri Lanka yesterday who batted well after a dodgy start to get themselves in a position where they could big at the end and it didn't come off.

What happens if the final is a complete wash out ? Do they play tomorrow or does it go on previous run rates or anything ?

Just looked on BBC website, there is no reserve day set so if no overs are bowled (There must be 20 a side to constitute a match) then the trophy will be shared.

Yeah someone just told me, they would have replayed tomorrow if England didn't have the t20 with New Zealand Tuesday.

Quite simply if no play is possible the trophy will be shared as no other day is available!

Botham wasn't happy when discussing the reasons. He was right though to much emphasis on TV and not enough care towards the paying fan.

India off to play an ODI series in the West Indies as well.
