 50/50 then.Totally outshone by Davies in Oldham game, wanted far too much time on the ball and got caught in possession. Will be ok when we can dominate games and can dictate but don't see our squad being in that position for some while yet.

As others have said, he was miles better than anyone else at Leyton Orient, and we didn't dominate that game.
A new hope.

played twice for us, at orient he was a breath of fresh air charging about the pitch, winning tackles, intercepting passes and going forward.

missed his game at oldham but if he plays like he did at orient then i believe you will be proved wrong my friend.

Proved wrong........i never said he was a bad player, just hope he isn't going to play just a few matches. He is supposed to be a big signing, given his history....but atm , i'm 80% disappointed, sorry!

 Seen him play.No doubt has ability,we have seen flashes, but games against the top sides will need grafters and he doesn't seem to be in that catergory.

altho i havent had the pleasure of seein him on the park yet, i was lead to believe he was a "playmaker" in the allot mould rather than a grafter or ball winner in the davies / niven mould. any good team has both types

He put himself about well at Leyton O.

I would say a MA with a bit of pace to get about.
A new hope.

It depends on quite a few things though. What division we are in will prob have some bearing on it,as will the fact we would have to replace him with someone equally as good,or better. But i suppose it will come down to money. Is it cheaper to persevere with Randall and try and bring him on,or spend money on someone else,be it free transfer which obviously still costs money,or pay a transfer fee for someone. Going on what the club has done this season regarding extended contracts,it would not surprise me to see him here next season.

Logically, it would be better to invest in a player that is likely to be fit for most of the season and, at least, threaten first team action.

He is obviously technically good but is he good enough to complete reorganise a side and system around as thats what you'd need to do to get him in the side? You cant play 4-4-2 with him in central midfield.

How do you reorganise a side and system around a player who is rarely fit enough to play?

He got one hell of a kick right in front of the ref against Oldham and the ref did nothing and he didnt want to come off but he knew he had to as his calf seized up and a calf injury is not good and I had one late last year and it took me 12 weeks to get over it and its painful.Give him some slack no wants to get injured especailly when he looks like he can play the part and what we have been missing in the midfield.

you only have to look how many games he has played in the last 10 years to realise he is going to be a waste of space
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART

Randall is an excellent midfielder and just the sort of player we'll need if we're to progress. With the right set-up alongside him in midfield he'll be a class above what we've got at the moment.
Unfortunately he's already being judged on the basis that RPL rates him - so the knee-jerk reaction is against him. This is stupid - judge him on his merits when he gets an extended spell in the side. Which may not be this season since we're now in a position where we've got to win ugly.

Thats just not true. He is being judged on the lack of first team appearences and the `reserve` fixtures posters have seen him play in.

Jamie did an excellent summary.
A new hope.

I agree we are very quick to judge on here and never give anyone any chance even if we signed Messi and got kicked in his first match and he missed the next we would right him off ???
