Why do you always assume its one or the other?

Would you trust CFC if they asked you to play your heart out for a season with a view to signing - including coming back from a hernia in Giffs case? Grounds/Clarke/Johnson ... take note!

That is a load of rubbish, they are professionals earning good wages and if they are playing for contracts all well and good.

Smith and Griffiths are both good players, one was free, one wasn't.

As far as Griffiths is concerned, if anyone is to blame it is Peterborough by demanding a fee for someone they don't want. From what was said last year we had to pay a fee to loan him
and not just pay his wages
Accentuate th Positive, eliminate the negative

Griffiths was only good half the time...he made many mistakes. Particularly vs Crewe which must rank as one of the worst individual performances by any town player.

He'd struggle at this level. Smith is far superior. He doesn't leave his position leaving us exposed...he's stronger, smarter and his all round ability on the ball particularly his control is light years ahead. The ball bounced off griffiths a few times.

I hope he does well for himself...but I don't want to see him at town instead of Smith.

I beg to differ - its about commitment (given by Griff) and loyalty (not given by CFC). Grounds/Clarke/Johnson beware!

Commitment and enthusiam are usually words to describe players with lesser ability (say Niven and Grffiths who make up in effort what they lack in skill)...and therefore I am surprised you are banging the griffiths drum as you are such an advocate for quality.

What do you think?

The same people that say CFC should never tell the fans anything then rejoice in using it as a defence shield. If CFC were open with their comms you wouldn't ned to pose the question.

Questioning the management's loyalty to players is perhaps the best yet. Ignoring how they operate, how about the victimisation of Smith, Whitaker and Allott...

And the club that payed £150k for him want to get shut...add to that only ever played his football at the bottom rung, and as once again been loaned out to a basement club, whereas Mr Smith I believe was wanted by Preston as well as us, along with the Yeovil boss satting he was the one player he wished he could retain
