I know, BUT how many times did he play Breckin / Ford at RB especially when the opposition have a presence at set pieces. We have 4 "Fit" (inc Downesy) centre halves going for 2 spots.

Yeah but he's rubbish there, way better CB imo!

Holden at right back...

I didnt say that was what I would do, I think that's how Sheridan might be tempted to go.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

I thought he looked like a rabbit in the headlights playing there against Macc, Allott bollocked him at least twice when he stitched him up, it amazes me that managers have played him RB all his career, he was very classy for us last year at CB.

If you are talking about Holden then he has played all his career at full back until he signed for us. Not a bad earner for a 'rubbish' full back. He is better at center back though.

Cheers but I'm aware of that, as were Shrewsbury fans who all said he was a terrible player cos their manager played him at RB. He came to us, Sheridan saw his potential as a CB, played him there and he bossed it.

I agree he is miles better at center back but to call him rubbish at full back is harsh.

You can sort of see why they'd made that assumption though if they'd only seen him there, I thought he was less than impressive when JS played him there.

At Centre back, stroke of genius or whatever by Shez, he was my player of the second half of last season.

Id agree with that along with Smalley.

Unless we get more upfront then our own set pieces are key, by playing Downes, Holden, Mattis we have 3 big guys creating a threat, we aren't a big side except for CB positions. SHORT TERM Holden at RB and Talbot out wide, Talbot can always cover

Was a toss up between those 2 for me as well, but Holden just sneaked it. His performance against Rotherham always stands out for me, dangerous up front for set pieces etc, and a rock at the back!
Brilliant, along with the other 22.5 hours in that day!!!!

Yeah but that all depends if we stop knobbing about with those bl00dy short corners.

So infuriating

Our set pieces, as a whole, are below average though.

To be fair we did score from a few, but I agree we waste loads of them! (Im sure we wasted some saturday).
Same can be said about free kicks in shooting positions, lets hope for improvement

Our set pieces in general under Shez have been poor, in fact even before Shez was here. Shame really because if we could get them right it's another 10-15 goals over the course of a season
