Changed service provider to Sky last monday. The engineer finished the work at 11.45 saying that I would be switched on in the next 30 minutes I was finally connected yesterday (Sat). Having made numerous frustrating, lengthy, expensive, phone calls to staff not knowing what they were talking about, trying to transfer me from dept to dept and promising to call me back, but not honoring this promise (6 times) one can only draw the conclusion that they are an unprofessional set of morons.
Maybe I was unlucky but BEWARE
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.

not unlucky, they rang offering me half price sky sports then never bothered to apply it when I agreed.

They don't answer emails either, expecting you to ring up their premium rate number so they can cash in, good to see ofcom last week forcing them to reduce the prices of their channels that they sell to rivals

Left them & went over to Virgin because I was brassed off with their broadband people and BT blaming eachother every time I had a problem. Decided to cut out the both of them, and get it via cable. The pic doesn't go funny when it hammers it down with rain, either. Pleased, so far, on the whole.

They're not all bad, don't use them for broadband but recently got a free sky + hd box, free installation and free hd subscription from them

 Was with Sky for around 7 years where I had the full package for most of that time. Then I double checked my direct debits and realised my monthly payments were never the same. When I enquired about this I was told it was for Box Office movies.I had not seen or booked these films but they insisted I had. They were adament they were right and I was wrong so I gave them a months notice. In that period I was inundated with calls offering deals to stay with them but at no time did they offer to refund the approximately £50 I had been overcharged. That was about 4 years ago now, lost a bit of business for that 50 quid!
Many a good tune

ill pass your compliments on mate.

To make you aware though, if you do take Virgin TV the receiver is for East Midlands and not Yorkshire.

Please do; there's another one - when I lived in Brim and we were having the gas done, some idiot from the gas people stuck a spade through the cable. Virgin were round and repaired it at no cost to me in a couple of hours. Service!! I suspect Murdoch would tell you to get your ladder out if your dish ever fell down!

BBC Yorks is available as a channel option on Virgin, isn't it?

Rothblue on here, works on the resi side he should be able to find out. If he doesnt read this i'll find out. If im honest i dont think it is not for Chesterfield residents but im following this up anyway personally

Thats the benefit of having a cable connection. we can get someone out to do a temporary fix then come out and do a decent job after during the day.

The best scenario's are when BT take a number without permission but thats a loooooooooooooong story.

Im currently testing 50mb and getting good speeds so that should be released soon as well think only 20mb is available round here.

Did try to promoting Virgin Media Business to the club but lets see what happens during the current contract they have taken with another provider.
