Also heard that ourselves and Crewe are interested in (re signing) Ben Algar from Matlock, it seems our present manager likes the look of him.

I think you will find the players Shez has lined up are way, way, above Ben Algar.

I must admit I saw Algar play in two games for the first team and I was quite impressed with what I saw in an attacking sense. He was prepared to and capable of beating a man and getting a cross in. No bad thing in a wide player.

Cricky - I know Donaldinho is no more, but Ben Algar is far from the answer. Lightweight, inconsistent, no end product, flash in the pan, useless basically. I'm sure Shez would not think of bolstering his promotion charge with Algar.

If we had the biggest budget in football and he was a replacement for the third string in place of Lloyd Kerry's son, I would still not touch him.
Onto the two signings though. With his track record so far this season, I am optimistic about the quality that we may be signing in the next week or so.

My Spidey-senses tell me you're not a fan!!!
As for your second point I'd agree although not seen Little yet.

Haha. Well done!
Little may be the worst signing yet, but the standards are high - they can't all be like McDermott! If he gets two in, I'm dead sure one will be very worthwhile while the other one is 50/50...if we're playing the law of averages like.

Re Algar like I said I was told Sheridan liked what he saw in Algar and was INTERESTED in signing him.(Crewe also having a look)
If he is going to be offered a deal or not I dont claim to know.
I didnt suggest that he was one of the two rumoured signings either.
for what its worth the person who told me knows Algar they both live and drink in Dronfield.
He just repeated what Algar said to him in the week.

I notice he's yet to get a man of the match award for Matlock this season
