Note that the "goal" in that clip is actually off-side. Both our goals in the game came at the Cross St end in the first half, one straight from kick-off.

That goal will be part of a Saltergate montage I will put onto SP later.

The police footage came from that game.

1921 same time as the perimiter wall was built. notice the pitch perimeter wall? filled in with ash from the coking plants int hthe area, thats the small concrete bit about a foot proud, that surrounds the pitch now, and used to be a perch for me as a kid in front of the paddock infront of the main stand.
A new hope.

What year was the paddock removed?

Fell victim to the need for more fire exits in the wake of the Bradford fire, so May 1985, although it was of course substantially re-modelled when the stand was rebuilt fifty years or so earlier.

Where the fire exits come down from the main stand, built after the bradford fire, it obviously meant the paddock had to be closed as they are built ontop of/over the paddock..

Have a look behind the dug outs, you will see the remains of the old terrace. The paddock is still there, so to speak.

Look at the pic of the main stand. First fire exit stair, you can make out some terrace. This used to run all the way in front of the stand before the stairs were built.
A new hope.

From what I can tell by old piccies the original paddock was simply a flat patch of land in front of the stand. I don't suppose the front few rows of the stand saw much when the club milked it by filling the paddock for big games. As an aside, executive seating first came here in the 1920s when fans were charged to sit on a row of chairs placed in front of the white fence for a cup tie
