On a positive note was impressed by bodens cameo apperance good movement off the ball should be given a chance IMO because lets be honest jack isnt doin it he was awful today no movement what so ever
as for the penalty looked stone wall to me looked like page barged strate into the back of him with no attempt to play the ball

I thought we deserved a point. If Perkins shot had gone in instead of rattling the bar it could have been very different. Not sure about the disallowed one - was he off when Allott struck the shot?
But things like that even themselves out over a season I suppose. Didn't think we got a sniff of anything in our favour from the officials and the linesman in front of us was shocking all afternoon.
At the end of it all, a pretty nondescript game with some very average performances. Can't say I disagree with you about Jack.

Page lets himself and us down far too often, I don't like his attitude one bit. What does Danny Hall have to do to get a game?

I didn't have that good a view of the penalty but given where it took place it just looked to me like a stupid challenge and it cost us the game. Not what you'd expect from someone with so much experience.

Rob was simply rattled by his opponent today who held the ball well. Rob's frustration got the better of him and he resorted to the hard stuff. Whether that was a penalty I don't know but we kept giving silly free lkicks away all the game in dangerous positions.

All the main stats from the Chesterfield game this afternoon.
Possession: Bulls 43% C'field 57%
Shots on Target: Bulls 7 C'field 4
Shots off Target: Bulls 5 C'field 8
Corners: Bulls 3 C'field 6
Fouls: Bulls 12 C'field 14
Bookings: Yellows for Valentine, Gwynne and King.
Attendance: 2574 with 364 following Chesterfield.
Also it was stated as a soft looking penalty. Doesn't make any comfort, but still.

That's the point isn't it. With all his years in the game and the level he's played at, he shouldn't be getting rattled by two novice strikers.
Don't hold your breath for Danny Hall though. I think I've got more chance of getting a game than he has.

Neither team deserved to win today, i was impressed by perkins especially second half several things are glaringly obvious imo Boden and Bowery are simply not good enough, Jack Lester today was poor infact i would say very poor, Allot was far to defensive, played the square or back pass when the forward pass was clearly the better option.
I am a big fan of Allot and Lester but today imo both let us down, if Jack doesn't get his act together soon he needs replacing, Mcdermot was also very poor with his passing but the one thing that was blatantly obvious to everyone in the ground was how bad the linesman was.
He had an absolute shocker, i haven't seen our dissalowed goal yet but i will be very surprised if boden was offside when the shot was taken. We didn't deserve to lose but we didn't earn the right to win either, a very disappointing day.
I do have to mention the Hereford forward with the orange boots(sorry don't know his name) he was absolutely superb today

That would be the quarters who know nowt about football. Even from a 100yds away it was a certain spot kick, Page barged straight into him.
BTW those critcising Sherridan, get a brain, this guy is light years in front of Rico, (yes some people were once again saying they would have him back), if you can`t see what he`s trying to do.then go home..its a major work in progress with hands tied due to long term contracts..have any of you criticising Sherridan even so much as kicked a balloon in anger.

Would you say central midfield players are being asked to play to deep, and are leaving a gaping hole when we lose the ball?

Page and Breckin has had a decent season so far but if Page slips up with a few rubbish performances then Downes will come in the starting XI in January or before then Hall is a decent option or Kev Austin

One criticism I have of Sheridan is his isolation of players. Danny Hall proved to us last season he is good enough and our defence is still leaking goals, so why is Hall the absolute last resort? He should get more than one game to prove himself. No way on earth is Austin a better centre back than Hall and when Breckin is concussed or Page is being a petulant and temperamental thug and Aaron Downes is out injured, Danny Hall should be playing.
Also, I agree Gritton isn't up to playing week in week out as a first choice striker, but surely he should not be behind Bowery and Boden in the pecking order.

That's why we're still leaking goals every game.
