At least once a week but I go go far and wide. Camping in the highlands, Wales anywhere I feel like really, many people do not realise whats on their doorstep. Over the many years I have found countless places well away from the general public to walk and watch in peace and seclusion. I have seen the true wonder of nature first hand and it never fails to leave me in awe. Theres something different every time you go out, all you need is patience. I once went to Rufford Park early one morning before the public as a whole arrived and I met a couple walking their dog. They asked me what i was doing, birdwatching I replied, don't know why none here they said. so I invited them to sit with me for 30 mins which they did and I pointed out to them 31 species all within 50 yards of us. They are now good friends of mine and like me avid nature lovers. like the advert says 'priceless'

Aww, it's nice reading something like this from you, Fish

I can't think of other hobbies I have... I go to the gym, play football and watch football... Playing video games I suppose? Football would win every time, though.

My hobby is birdwatching and wildlife conservation I really love doing evnts with the RSPB and enjoy meeting people who give up their time to work on these projects. I love to see the faces of the children when they see wildlife up close for the first time (and some adults too)

You deserve lots of credit for what you do, as for my hobbies i suppose i have several but none of them would keep me away from watching my beloved club.

Playing cricket will generally come before watching town. There are a few Saltergate regulars in my team but for me playing sport is a step up from watching it. The last game at Saltergate will be one game I don't want to miss though.

We will need Cilla Blacks help to bring someone to the last game from the first one, surprise surprise he hasn't been since he died but we have dug him up (insert name here) lol.

But seriously there are a few old chaps dotted about that could and should be involved, think on CFC.....

Reminds me of a story, in reverse, of an old work mate who used to use town playing at home as a decoy for his extra-marital activities.

One midweek game, he'd returned home from "playing away" as it were, and his wife had questioned the score with him, "1-1" was his reply to which his wife said:

"thats funny cos on the news it said the match was postponed due to the 2 inches of snow that fell at tea-time"

Hmmm

Do you ever go up to Northumberland?
What a beautiful place it is, uncrowded, historic, and miles and miles of coastline with everything you could wish for, especially long sandy beaches.
Northumberland or the peak district? Tough one that!

Cricket, my Mini and walking 2 Jack Russells DO keep me away from Saltergate but not as much as watching the dross that LR served up. Guaranteed to keep me in the garage!

Hoping to do better than my 4 or 5 games last year

Highlight of the year for me today. I was informed by a good friend of mine who happens to be a gamekeeper of a wild Otter on the Derwent, sat for 2 hours but it eventually it showed well for about 5 mins. Little can beat that for me
