I've just seen the youth team fixtures on the main site. I see all the home games are to be played at Warminster Road. Where is this? I understand it's somewhere in Dee-Dah land but can somebody post full directions so I can find it (my car is very unhappy at travelling outside Derbyshire!). I used to watch quite a few youth team games when they used to play at Hasland but haven't been able to get recently.

Ideally we will be able to find a new training ground in town and be able to play youth team games there. There was talk a while ago about this being sorted out but I've heard nothing for ages. Is anyone out there any better informed?

Obviously the new ground at Dema is currently the number one priority but proper training facilities of our own are a must if we are to fulfill our aims of championship football. Good players will not want to move to a club who have to train on borrowed pitches or public parks (Paul Holland's book was illuminating on this point!).

It's near Graves park in Sheffield, Norton area. Ask for Derbyshire lane.

its just down the road from graves park animal park entrance.

its the sheffield university pitches. really good set up, played there the other week.

i agree they do need to have a specific base. I did a week of work experiece there a few years ago with jamie hewitt, which ment i went on three training sessions with them, all at different places. Warminster Road was one, i forget the where one place was but that was in a good location. and the other was on a school field!!!

im not complaining about the school field as i was still at school then so when lunch time came i was happy.

the pitches that i cant remember where they were seemed perfect. could do with a newer building there but apart from that it was great. bagged a few goals past roche and muggs while i was there.

great week thow. even discussed with gaz davies what he should get his missus for valentines day.
