The Gas alliance will be closing Sheffield road Northbound between Peveril Road and Pottery Lane West, for 6weeks. The diversion will be via Peveril Road and Stand Road. Access will be maintained for the Netto car park and shops on there. They are laying a large diameter gas main in conjunction with Greenways' highways works.
Sheffield Road (Southbound) will be open as normal towards Town. A one way closure is necessary because to put 4 way t/lights on the Netto roundabout would cause the area to gridock pretty sharply.

Travelled south down there this lunchtime and there seemed to an enormous amount off traffic coming out of the car cark exit opposite the Donkey Derby entrance.

In the spirit of this thread....

Service update at 4:38pm

Circle Line: Severe delays are occurring clockwise due to an earlier signal failure at Mansion House.

I know most of you are thinking this is irrelevant but its mainly for H as he will have difficulty going around in circles like normal.

Is Whit Hill still blocked?

I understand a low loader hit the bridge this morning (or its load of a JCB type machine did) and the railway was halted.

I understand that work on our ground starts at the end of April ie at end of next week - subject to a temporary access road being built

From a pretty good source - not Lindave though who appears to be in the know

Yopu'll be glad to know the circle line is OK now however the Victoria line is suspended due to strike action.
