Jewell was there last night, Ward bagging a hat trick infront of him, the only reason i assume that he played so well was to fuel a move.
*edit (as it says so in the article)

£1 m and they can have him anything less and we will keep him to help us into div 1. The new investers should be telling Hubbard give him what he wants and bugga the costs, just keep him here

That story was in the northampton chronicle and echo about a month ago. i think it's the same one kicking around, or his agent going fishing again.
The cobblers were linked with him at the start of the season. so i guess thats why they were fed / picked up the story.

probably had something to do with Jewell being at the game on wednesday night
along with the other dozen or so managers/assitant managers
One question, can they all come again saturday???

9 goals in 21 games for Torquay at this level wasn't a bad record and that was yonks ago. In fact if ward hadn't had ongoing injury problems since he signed for us he'd probably not be here now.
Talking of which i recall fishini saying we should get rid of him as he's not fit enough, seems like it was a wise thing not to

i think we made a decision in signing Paul Shaw instead of Jamie Ward preseason. what a mistake that was.

Forgot about him. He was a waste of time.
EDIT=Bizarrely enough he appears to be playing for Ferencvaros now.

Mac did try to get Jamie Ward in the summer lets not forget, but he wasn't able to so had to settle for a lower quality player, i.e. Paul Shaw.
What is it with these ex Sheff Utd players that come to us and don't look half as good as they are supposed to be.

i was led to believe it was one or the other as we couldnt afford them both
